She is going to talk to Kathie, the head scheduler in surgeon's office and call me Tuesday morning. My life is becoming a cheap soap opera daily. Yeah I so know what you mean. My secret flinch: I think I sound so dopey. First time I heard a recording of my voice I realized I sounded just like Marjorie, the bratty,older sister of Chuck up the street. I always thought I sounded like a well modulated alto, instead I sound like a 12 year old. Fluffy thought she looked smokin' hot,,i sound like a trip to jail for some guy. I usually stood in the back row in pictures or took them. For me it was An EGD also known as an upper GI Visit with surgeon to see if i met program criteria Psychological Pulmonologist Cardiologist Letter from Primary care doctor stating diets didn't work for me and spannng,several years. Mine also stated it was my last best hope for not dieing in the near future (after all I am 72) and that he supported my decision to seek it. I am lucky he also likes me as a friend, his whole practice is emotional supportive. Approval from insurance after all prerequirements are met. Right before surgery,you'll have blood work and an EKG and chest(maybe also abdominal) X Ray. That's all I can think of except many insurances require 3,6, of 12 month diets supervised by the bariatric practice. Hmm do you have anything else needing done that gi surgery could help? How about a hiatus hernia repair, do you have any comorbities like d iabetes, sleep apnea or change,of developing cancer or heart disease in your family. My,grandma, may she rest in peace, had a saying. The Good Lord never made an itch that he didn't make a scratcher to fit it. Me again , now I've heard from Amber, my facilitator at the hospital. There is some snafu about the 15th, originally i was supposed to have a EGD on that day,but i had on December 20th by my gastroenterologist, it was scanned into their system by Morgan the PA on December 21st. So Amber will try to get it straightened out and call me Tuesday morning, my paperwork went,to insurance, passed and clearance was given. So what is the holdup? Give me a bowie knife and some fishing line and I'll do myself, I want at this point to drown myself in a bag of Pecan Sandies cookies, I'd eat chocolate chips but I'm allergic to chocolate. Hi folks, called the testing/presurgery # early this am, they had called Friday afternoon while I was out. They were like Sgt Shultz,in Big and Heroes, I see nothing, I know nothing. Then I heard from surgeon's office about 10 minutes ago. That girl wondered if I'd,gotten my surgeon's paperwork, said no and our mail,had already come. Oh well, you should have had it by maybe Wednesday? God I feel like I can see the carrot and then they yank it away. So 85% February 15th, that's only 10 days away. Will I be able to get to Columbus,for testing before then? I do have a firm ride,for the 15th with the social service agency I use, actually our senior center. I don't own a car or drive anymore.
