Calling March Sleevers
kakatlady612 replied to AskingForAFriend's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Charismatic you said you needed to lose 200 lb, my surgeon said I need to be 1/2 my current size, told me its like I'm carrying around a NFL quarterback on my back, told him to tell Bret Farve or Tom Brady to remove themselves. Besides THAT is not where the bulk of my weight is located. I've looked in the mirror, I know. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

And like a ball or balloon when you let the air out and it deflates it isn't always smooth looking. No that's not loose skin I just have deflation remnants. Put that in your pipe and smoke that! Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
Anyone from Kentucky
kakatlady612 replied to jboa51's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Do you get indigestion? If sleep apnea fails, and since you're a snorer better than average chance you will have it, GERD is another comorbility. I knew I probably would have it and i do. My daddy had it, I had a score of 25, anything above 10 is positive and my pulse OX went down to 71% normal reading about 98% so I have and sleep with a CPAP machine. Took a little time getting used to it but I don't have the vivid nightmares and waking up startled I used to have. Will it be better after I have surgery and lose more weight? Jury out on that one, I've seen a lot of people say they don't need it anymore. Since mine has a heredity component I might not be so lucky. My family says i look like a jet pilot with it on, if it works I'll take it as a compliment. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

Safe to sleep on stomach?
kakatlady612 replied to Acts238girl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would think going to the side that doesn't have the stomach removing incision. Clue: probably the one most sore or taking the longest to heal. Would Biotene help your mouth? Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
I have a question, it may have been answered on another thread. How does one differentiate between hunger, grhelin griping and gastrointestinal griping? Food doesn't make it feel better, even a tiny bit. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Safe to sleep on stomach?
kakatlady612 replied to Acts238girl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your mouth may be dry from back sleeping and swallowing all your saliva down. My guess you might be able to side sleep hugging a body pillow pretty soon. I was hoping a veteran might chime in soon with better answers. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

Sassysciencenerd sounds like your digestive enzymes and secretions are out of whack. 2 questions: do you still have your gallbladder and 2. Pancreatic malfunction gives you loose shiney stool. Is there an oil slick in the water when you go? Just asking. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Do you miss being overweight?
kakatlady612 replied to Marissa37's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah but you' d have a fighting chance of running, at my still size all I could do is knock him to the ground and sit on him until the Sheriff came. And if he's a perv he might enjoy it. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
Like your nom de plume Pepsipants. There were times when mine should have been "Yeah I got room for that." But I am trying to be a reformed chubby-dub, trying to turn into slim Chicky. Baby. Hmm maybe at my age I should settle for Svelte Hen? Chicky Baby may not come in a 72 year old model. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Tealael my late husband's friend Nowell, we called him THE VISION would tell you that you were imprisioned and handcuffed in a previous incarnation. Man slept with an upside crystal over his bed to funnel in the wisdom and power of the universe. Haven't heard from him in years, maybe the fool crystal fell down and impaled him. Who knows?
