RosieQueenofScots reacted to Miss Topaz in cure for skin/fat roll irritation?
All - not to share too much but while in hospital two nights the skin under my spare tire got seriously irritated. It's all red, angry and itchy. Doc's office has me watching to make sure it doesn't get worse, but in the meantime, does anyone have a miracle cure? Normally to prevent I dry carefully after showering and apply anti-chafe gel (monistat). Not sure what to do to get it back healthy tho! I'm pretty miserable. Incision pain is minimal but this itching is crazy! Almost tempted to take my pain meds (that I don't need for pain) to try to subdue the itching

I cannot believe I am posting pictures. Honestly haven’t taken pictures in years so this is stretching a major muscle, and I feel safe with you guys, my fellow sleeved peeps on this site! I am happy to say that I am actually looking in the mirror for the first time in years. Though it hasn’t been the easiest journey at all, or has been worth it, and honestly, the only tool that has ever worked for me. I feel like I have my life back.

The before picture was taken the night before surgery so I was already down 8 lbs.

RosieQueenofScots reacted to Michelle_Lynn in Birth control after surgery
I haven't been on birth control for almost 8 years. I'm good at tracking my cycle and being careful around ovulation, but my doctor said fertility goes way up with the rapid weight loss so just to be on the safe side I'm going back on the pill.
I saw my Gyn today and she put me on Camila. Doing progestin only until my blood pressure is lower. I'm wondering if anyone else uses Camila or has experience on it.
I read reviews online and most were negative so before I start it I figured I'd ask here for opinions.
IUD is kind of a last resort if the pill doesn't work out.

I’m new to all this ( just sleeved on the 27th) so I may be completely off on my way of thinking, but this is how I look at this: I didn’t have this surgery so I could never have a cookie, never enjoy my favorite dishes ever again, or to feel shamed every time I do. I’ve felt all those feelings my whole overweight, dieting, adult life. I had this surgery to help me be healthier- to help me focus on the issues with my relationship/addiction to food. That is my main goal.To have a HEALTHY relationship with food, so I can eat to live, not Live to eat. Once I learn a new way to navigate that relationship, I fully plan to enjoy an occasional cookie or a bite or two of my favorite dishes. I would never judge. However, I agree with a previous poster that I am concerned for you and that this behavior might continue and ruin all your hard work of you don’t reel in the old habits and really focus on a healthy relationship with food. That said, I wouldn’t beat yourself up about it- instead, I would take a step back, recognize what happened, maybe reflect a little on what led/triggered you to over indulge, learn something from it and let it go. Today is a new day. I wish you the best.

When I say I've lost as much weight as I did, I count from the start of the process til now, which is 130 lbs all together.
With just the surgery alone, it's close to just maybe 90 or so lbs. I've been putting in work since before I had my surgery, why not add that in too? Lol

They say 6-12 because of the empty calories and by then you should hit your goal weight. (I asked why) on that note Id you have self control why not? Had a White Russian yesterday and it only took a few sips before I was like yeah that’s it the little pouch doesn’t like it. (sleeved 6/12/17)
