I’ve lost 89 lbs to date. I’m actually ok with my weight loss slowing down to a normal rate. I was losing too quickly, and it caused some huge menstrual cycle problems. I also left the boards because I noticed that it became a FB/ Instagram environment where everyone was not necessarily supportive. They were on here to just post catty, insensitive comments. I didn’t join for that or to read any negative comments to others. So, I just weeded myself away from the boards.
  3. I have Chrohn’s disease. I am currently in remission. I have not had a flare up since Oct. My surgery was on 12/14. I would say that I have to stay away from a lot of my triggers, so actually my symptoms have been under total control.

    Kandywolf- Thanks for sharing!
  6. Hi all !I am having the hardest time drinking 64 ounces of liquid and making sure that there is an hour between drinking and eating. Does anyone mind sharing their schedule with me?

    Maybe tmi...changes in monthly cycle?

I was going to ask this same question. I have PCOS, so I am pretty irregular...every two months kinda irregular. In fact, I couldn’t get an upper GI done because the tech insisted that I could be pregnant. She didn’t understand and had no time to educate her. Definitely wasn’t. My period actually started the day after my surgery...12/15. Now it’s on again. It started yesterday. I think the weight loss is helping get things back on track. Or my body is in shock. I was actually concerned on Thursday. I was confusing menstrual cramps for possible pains due to the surgery.

    Full Liquid Diet

I am on full liquid for five weeks. I am checking with my doc’s office. It doesn’t sound correct. I can eat soft foods on 1/18. It doesn’t sound like a smooth transition to me.

Thanks for starting this thread! My surgery was on 12/14. It feels like a new birthday for me. I was so sick of watching life happen and being constricted on what I could or could not do or wear because of my weight. It was a hard decision, but I have little ones to live for, and I’m ready for a new beginning. .

    Starting to think about clothes

I like Mercari. I’m ok with wearing used or consignment clothes until I reach my goal weight.

    Phases question

Thanks for your reply! I can’t wait to eat something that isn’t a liquid or hasn’t been puréed.
  14. Hi! I’ve lurked for a week or now. I finally got the courage to post. I have a question about the eating phases that you all were told to follow. My SD was on 12/14. I am on full liquid diet for a total of five weeks (protein shakes, blended soups, oatmeal, yogurt, SF jello, SF popsicles, applesauce, etc. ) all only 1/4 cup at a time. I’m concerned that I will begin solid foods without a real transition to solids. Also, I am having a hard time with drinking water, protein shakes and eating. It’s a juggling mess right now. Can’t get it all in. What were you told to eat and when? Do you have any sample schedules that you can share?
