    Getting my things in order

Everything that is happening right now is part of the change you are making. I know that sounds strange, but really it is true. Most pre ops go thru this turmoil. What happened yesterday is different than with the band. I was banded in Sept of 07 and have lost 50 lbs. It was not easy. But the band gave me the edge and I have been able to maintain this loss and continue to loss sporatically. I say that because Ive learned that is how my loss occurs. You need to start taking one day at a time. Work on being positive in your mind talk really. Most of what I think about myself negatively is bull and I think if you really look at yourself youll realize that you are doing the very best you can. So don't listen to self defeating mental dialogs. Get on with your next step. Read all you can about being banded and know that food has only one purpose, to feed your body. Arch
  5. I was banded in Sept of last year. I remember being surprised by the gas. I remember it being pretty extreme at first and settling down. I belch allot today but if I don't blend stuff and mix air into the food. I don't gulp when I eat and I eat slowly, this problem decreased. Good luck. Arch:teeth_smile:

    4 oz Not enough

I was banded in Sept. 07 and have had 5 fills and one unfill. Before I had a fill I was hungry all the time and could no more handle a 4 oz meal than apparently you can. Look have no restriction from your band yet. So everything just goes right through. So don't be worrying about 4oz meals until you get some fills and get a little restriction. Concentrate on little bites and allot of chews. Don't watch tv and eat or read the paper and eat. Don't talk and eat at this point. Pay attention to the size and amount of chewing you are doing and after 6 weeks post op get a fill. Thats when everything starts to happen. So don't be discouraged, remember this is a lifestyle change. Arch
