I packedmore than I needed. The only things I used were lip balm, phone, phone charger, soft bra and comfy open front sweater. I stayed in my hospital gown, used the hospital socks and they provided all the toiletries I needed. You're only there 1 night and in my case my mom had to carry around my stuff until she could see me post op. Like others, I also wore the same comfortable clothes home. I completely understand and felt the same way. Everyone kept asking me if I was excited and I wasn't really. But I knew I was making the right decision. My girls are 7 and 2 and the oldest is excited to have a mommy who can do more with her and be more active. I had my VSG on January 3 and already I feel better already. Very little pain, cooking for my family by the 5th and I couldn't be happier with the decision. You're giving your kids a better future with you and I wish you all the best tomorrow. Hey Lindsay! I'm having my surgery today and I'm a bit nervous, too. I also have 2 small children. The biggest driver for me choosing to have the sleeve gastronomy done is my kids. I know that if I don't do something about my weight it will continue to restrict the activities I can do with them, cause more health issues and ultimately take knee away from them sooner than later. We're doing the right thing for us and our children and will be better moms for it in the end. Keep your head up, congrats on your decision and good luck!!! I'm getting ready for January 3rd! On day 3 of liquids but I feel pretty good bc my nutritionist had me do meal replacements starting with 1 about a month out and 2 about 2 weeks ago.
