So this October, 2 months after my 40th birthday, I was in my bedroom getting ready for work with the TV on.  I saw a commercial for NY Bariatrics Center and was like...hmmm... I bet there's a good place here in Jersey.  So I googled and found a highly rated place.  A week later I had a surgery date.  CRAZY!  That's what I was thinking.  But, I followed through with all the appointments really just to see what would happen.  Would I get approved, would I be denied?  

I've been overweight for what seems like my entire life.  I thought bariatric surgery was a cop-out and cheating but the more info I got made me realize otherwise.  The more info I gathered the more steadfast I was in my decision out about my life and that it was ok for me to share my decision to go through with the procedure.  I didn't get the official approval until about 1 week prior to the surgery but I got it!

I had the procedure 1/3/2018 at 304lbs and chose VSG to have a better life for me and my family.  In 4 months I've lost 40 pounds and I feel so much better already !
