1 week post op and STARVING

I’ll note that just a few days later, I’m belching and burping less and that hungry, empty stomach feeling is pretty much gone.

1 week post op and STARVING

I was sleeved on 1/4 and I’m also starving. I’m not jumping ahead stages, I’m just eating more of what’s allowed in my current stage. I don’t want to jump ahead because we’re given this progression so that our stomach may heal properly. But even if I do “eat” more, I can’t really handle more than 3 - 4 ounces of anything puréed.

Just got home from the hospital

Yep. I think that’s gas pain. I’ve been having that too since my surgery. I can say that it doesn’t happen with every sip and I keep reminding myself to sip smaller and slower.

    Any January 2018 Sleevers?

I’d add sugar free throat lozenges. My throat was very sore and my mouth very dry.

    Any January 2018 Sleevers?

So, I’m just home from the hospital after my surgery. In the middle of a blizzard, I had my surgery. Surgery started sometime between 9:30 & 10. I was up and walking by 2. Gas has been my biggest pain followed by stomach cramping. I got up and walked a lot in the hospital. My throat is very sore and my mouth was incredibly dry yesterday. As they hydrated me, I started to do better. But keeping hydrated is a project. Overall, I feel like I’m doing pretty good.

    Premier Protein Clear

I’m in that boat! I bought a whole pack of them and had to throw the one I tried out. I’m actually going to share them at my support group so ppl can taste them before buying them. This and clear isopure taste like soap to me. :-(

    Any January 2018 Sleevers?

I would recommend trying a few different clear protein drinks before your surgery. I’m sorry to say that I find them to be soapy and very hard to drink. I threw out the Premier protein clear one. I’m struggling through the isopure. I only have to drink clear liquids the day before, the day of, and the day after my surgery. But try and find one you can tolerate.

    Any January 2018 Sleevers?

The pre-op diet is going. I’m supposed to be at 800 calories a day with lean Protein, vegetables, and Protein Shakes. I’ve been having tomato juice, cucumbers, peppers, broccoli, mushrooms, cauliflower rice, chicken and my big splurge.... a mandarin orange. Anyhow, I’m having a hard time staying under 800. But I haven’t gone over 1000. I’ve been getting dizzy in the afternoons, figure it’s low blood sugar. But I’m pretty committed because, well, I’m committed to this process.
