I am still on prescription Prilosec, from my surgery in 12-29-17. After not taking it for 2 days I start to get heartburn. Doctor says I need to go on something else because with long term use of this med is bad.. what else do you guys use for minor not severe heartburn???? Something that is safe to take daily?

Thank you for all the info, my GP was telling me about PPIs and how I need to stop. Long term use causes osteoporosis issues. I believe he said to go on Zantac or Nexium. I have mild heartburn, Most times I feel it right when I wake up, before food. But haven’t noticed certain foods that cause it. Thanks again:)

I think I will try Pepcid, after being on Prilosec for 7 months but now hearing it’s not good for long term use. I wish I had known sooner. Thank you

No not at all, I have never had heartburn, only after surgery. Hmmm I will try Pepcid. I just need something I can do long term with no affects.

Calling all sleeves, so every time I eat it’s like a plane is landing in my stomach hehe, Such loud noises does this ever go away? I’m 6 months out and it hasn’t stopped yet. I’m embarrassed to eat At work in a quiet room, because I feel like it’s on loudspeaker. Anyone else have this issue?

I will try, I’m forcing myself to eat like 6 small meals a day.. I fill up so so very quick.. I’m getting around 500 calories a day and 32 oz of water... -

48 days in and the scale has stopped.. I have lost 30 pounds but it’s just so annoying... I know I’m not hitting my goals.. I’m at maybe 400 cal. A day 40oz of water and 40g of protein.. I feel great and notice a change in clothing.. but stupid scale lol I need to do some more jogging.. Good luck to everyone.. -

I’m very boring and only 3 weeks out so protein shake.. I can’t drink just plain but it seems to go down better with some Greek yogurt blended with some banana and orange. Just some type of fruit. I can finish almost half -

Surgery on 12/29 I’m not hungry at all, for lunch I had an egg, could barely finish it.. I’m getting about 20 ounces of water if I’m lucky about 150 calories a day... Haven’t lost anymore weight in a week. Anybody else having trouble with eating and drinking as much as I am?? Day of surgery 249 Current weight 233 -
I am on Stage 2 as well.. 7 days out very small bites, 1 oz of Greek yogurt. couple bites of egg.. I tried a protein shake, 2 oz and I was too full. No nausea or up chucking but just can’t finish anything.. 20oz of water so far.. Anybody else feeling so full all the time???

I was on 12/29 as well, I feel hungry but then have some broth and a little water and then I’m good

When I go it’s soft, but have only gone twice since surgery 12/29...There is nothing in my stomach to really have a good one, other then jello, popsicles and broth..

Yep one week out.. feeling good I can’t wait to be on stage 2, ready for something a little different to see how I do..

I am 5 days out and hate the gas, I think sometimes I take a big sip, and that doesn’t help.. is walking the only thing that will help with the gas?? -
The gas is horrible, I too am having problems getting all my liquids in.. It is getting easier day by day...

Wow what a road hehe the only thing that was bad was the gas, omg it was horrible.. I feel better and I am glad to be on the losers bench whooohooo Long ways to go be blessed everyone...
