Hello Again, Long Time No See...

Greetings I was just perusing and came across your original posts from your insanity days!! So glad you reached out because I’m in need of an accountability partner. You game to support & challenge one another getting back to Shaun T craze days?
  2. Update: At 4wks post-op had to have an infusion. This wk is 6wks post-op and still struggling to get in all necessary liquids. Dietitian cleared me to regular diet though it continues to bother once it hits pit of stomach. I’ll be staying mostly on liquids and testing out just one solid food daily. I have absolutely no appetite. Still on Levsin, Prilosec and Dilaudid. Anyone else struggling this much with nourishment?
  3. Greetings Everyone I was sleeved 2/26/18 and just had my 2 wk post-op today (Dr had to reschedule) Graduated to soft foods and tried some cream of chicken soup with a small potato blended in my NutriBullet Felt awful all afternoon/evening I’m choosing to stay on my puréed foods a bit longer. The way I make sure to get in more fluids is by rotating 2oz protein supplement and 2oz water with each dose of meds I’m at 45g of protein & 48oz fluids daily Set my Apple Watch to alert me to walk every hour I’m awake Dr told me I’m right on target since I also had a hiatal hernia repair with sleeve SW 284 CW 266 GW 155

Happy #Sleeversary to Me! Year One.

I appreciate your honest reply. My anxiety is so high at this moment. My surgery was scheduled for Dec 12th but my nausea and vomiting was too persistent to proceed. After two hours of being admitted for the surgery my Dr canceled it for further testing. So far the CT scan of abdomen showed a nodule on my left kidney and diverticulitis. Still waiting on results from MRI of abdomen and pelvis. Colonoscopy is set for Jan 10th. Scary part was when Dr asked if there is a history of colon cancer in my family?!?! My gastric sleeve surgery will be rescheduled as soon as this mess is cleared. Stories like yours give me hope that I can hit my goal weight within the first year post-op. 265lbs at 5ft 6" currently. My heaviest was 283lbs last month and goal weight of 145lbs.

Congratulations! This gives me encouragement to keep on the right track even when I don’t feel I can. How much was your total loss, if you don’t mind my being forward?

    Let’s do this - 2018 goals anyone?

Gastric Sleeve Surgery date: TBD Hope to enter my first bicycle race to surprise my spouse who has been racing since 2011 [emoji4] Personally I have wanted to sport six pack abs, to eliminate cottage cheese thighs and eat according to medical plan. (I’ve been accustomed to go without all day then binge at night)
