Something that might help is getting a cast iron skillet! It adds iron to your food that’s cooked in it.

I was amazed to learn that normal people don’t have “obsessive food chatter” I want to live that life so bad. -

Bariatric podcasts???
KCgirl061 replied to ryan_86's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I wish I had a good one for you, I enjoy listening to podcasts too and would love to find a motivational weight loss one. I did listen to some of Our Sleeved Life. The only reason I struggled continuing to listen ( and this is kinda dumb, and nothing the hosts could control) was because their voices sounded too similar! I couldnt tell who was who! -
No energy 5 days post op sleev
KCgirl061 replied to Lisa M.'s topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
This is what I experienced. I spent the first 2 weeks just sitting in a recliner sipping. After 3 weeks off I returned to my job and went straight to bed exhausted when I got home. It was another week or two before I felt like I had normal energy levels. -

Looking to get away from MyFitnessPal to a different app. All their nice features are premium and paying $20 a month to be able to scan a barcode is ridiculous.

I keep the constipation at bat with Miralax. I sure notice when I’ve skipped it a couple days in a row.

My hunger is back and I’m gaining.
KCgirl061 replied to ShoppGirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm more than a year out and have regained that 15 pounds too. I know its common but after so many years spent watching the scale go up and up - I cant help but worry that 15 pounds will turn into 20 then 25 then next thing I know I'm back to my surgery weight! psst... my ticker is also a lie! It says I'm at 130 but I'm really at 143. But its been a while since I've messed with it and cant remember how to change it. Not that I'm trying too hard 😳 So what I decided to do was track my food again. And join a gym. I figure if I'm going to spend the time and money to work out I dont want it to go to waste by over eating or eating unhealthy. -

Have you been having pain since your surgery or is this a recent development? It could be that your stomach is still healing and needs more TLC before it can handle the foods youre throwing at it. Maybe try going back to soft foods or even pureed for a week or so. Also, you could be swallowing too big of pieces. Try slowing down and really chewing your food to that applesauce consistancy. -

I'm doing good still! I over shot my weight loss goal of 140 pounds all the way to 125 but have regained those 15 pounds in the last 3 years. I dont want to get back down just stay the weight I am. I pretty much let myself eat whatever I want, just try to stick to the rules of no snacking, no drinking while eating and no drinking 30 minutes after eating. -

Results for people who began with a BMI of 30-35?
KCgirl061 replied to Sarahgirl10's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Surgery day my BMI was 34. I lost slow and steady at about 10lbs a month following my surgeon’s SUPER STRICT diet plan. Very slow progression to each stage. Got down to 125lb (BMI 21) in about 7-8 months. 3 years later and I’m 135lb by maintaining 1200-1300 calorie diet. -
Unless you are on a sodium restriction I say go for it!
-
That isn’t going to be easy on your new stomach at all. I’d recommend you invest in an air fryer, it will help curb the fried food cravings. Especially if you find a nice almond flour/keto breading recipe.
