The worlds largest ball of tape
-
So I've reached my first goal. I didn't really have a number on the scale in mind, but a jeans size in mind. I want to be at a size 8 and can finally now fit in them. I'm only 4 months out and hope to still lose some weight because of the statistics of people who regain a little. I want to lose more so I when my weight settles, it settles at the weight I'm at now and not 10lbs and a jean size higher. I love my new body and vow to take better care of it from now on so I don't go back!

I do 2 things to help curb the nausea with my multi. I make sure I eat something right before I take it. Usually its a rice cake with peanut butter. And I take it right before bed. That way I'm laying down not moving or anything if I get a little nauseous. Usually only lasts 5-10 minutes this way.

Absolutely! Shopping is a lot more fun! Looking forward to getting some Christmas cash to get those new outfits!

Thank you!

I've seen that, I just have trouble paying $42 for them. I know they are 18 packs but thats still $2.33 a shake and pretty expensive.

Thats been my problem too, I've been using the vanilla but don't like it as much.

3 days pot op RNY
KCgirl061 replied to SarahBoBera's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
aw man you hardly ever hear of people MISSING the hospital bed! Sounds like you might need to sleep in a recliner for a while? -
My surgeon recommended one, but I haven't gotten it. Not sure I ever will honestly.

Please tell me your progress
KCgirl061 replied to jultrim18's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sleeved Aug 6. Surgery weight was 202 and my current weight is 155.6. I tend to stay the same weight for about a week then see a 2-4 pound drop all at once. Actually been sitting at 155 a couple more days than I expected so I do wonder if I might be leaving the honeymoon phase already... -
Still on pureeds and getting burnt out on eggs, oatmeal and yogurt. Anyone have any suggestions??

So I’m 8 Days postop sleeve. One of my biggest worries was being in the unfortunate statistic group of people that developed reflux. My question is, when did reflux start for you after you had your sleeve? Immediately postop? A month? 6 weeks? I’m just wondering if there it a specific time that needs to pass before I know if I’m ‘in the clear’ so to speak.

Anyone else bad at taking pictures?
KCgirl061 posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm 4 months postop and am ecstatic with my weightloss so far. I'm down 70 pounds since I've started the whole process, and I did take preop pictures but I've hardly taken any pictures beyond a hand full of head shots. Anyone else happy with their body but still camera shy? -
How much does Sleeve surgery cost with no Ins ?
KCgirl061 replied to texasnewf's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Ive seen people post as low as $9000 in the states, less in Mexico. -
Because getting proper nutrition in is so hard after weight loss surgery, a lot of surgeons wont want you to get pregnant for 18 months following your sleeve or bypass. Its just not safe for you or the baby.

Liquid diet phase.. loose stools?
KCgirl061 replied to Anita watson's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes it caused it for me. Of course now I'm constipated and would gladly welcome some loose stools. -
Know that weight loss stalls happen and that its natural. Prepare mentally for it. The first one hits almost everyone at 3 weeks out. The first weeks after surgery your body is adjusting and some people even gain a few pounds. You wont have done anything wrong and there is nothing you need to do to "fix" it. Just follow your surgeons instructions and try to stay off the scale but once a week. Take measurements often so you have something else to measure yourself by than the scale.

Good call asking those questions, hopefully many can benefit from your looking into it at your hospital. -

what do you take with your multi?
KCgirl061 posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My multi gives me nausea when I take it. I take it right before bed to try to minimize the effects. Is there any particular food items I can take with it to curb the nausea? Any help is appreciated! -

I take the capsules from procarenow.com -
So I’m on my 2 week preop liquid diet and we decided to go camping this weekend. (Which was its own brand of hell in itself). I decided to freeze a couple bottles of Premier so they could naturally thaw in the cooler Saturday and be cold for today (Sun). Oh man, it did some weird separation in the thawing process and ended up being chunky. So not only did I have to endure my family enjoying grilled hamburgers, corn on the cob, and s’mores around the campfire, I had to choke down chunky peach premier.

So I’m members on 2 groups on Facebook- a bypass group and a sleeve group. The bypass group talks a lot about having dental problems but when I search on the sleeve group I don’t see much. So I thought I’d ask on here. Anyone a couple years out from getting sleeved - how are your teeth?
