  1. OK Im going to try and be nice but your attitude is all wrong my friend. You CLEARLY gained weight from water unless you snuck 12 pizzas into the hospital...keep your chin up..this is only the beginning.....

    Slow WL

Hi there! I have my three month post op appointment this Monday...I started at 278 and today am 233...so 45 pounds in 3 months...I believe that is on the slower side and I am totally fine with that and here is why: I am walking only a few times per week (waiting to see my levels at appointment), making good food choices 97% of the time, and feel AMAZING. I am trying to be realistic and do what works for me because going out and starting some crazy lifestyle that I know is not realistic will only lead to failure for me...the other things about losing slower are that people dont ask crazy "weight loss" questions and my skin isn't too bad (yet)...Ive had multiple stalls and I know for a FACT that one of them was due to too many "BLT's"..."bites, licks and tastes"! When I stopped the BLT's, the weight started coming of again. Lots of water...lots of sleep and good vibes seems to be the recipe for success:)

More Exhuasted At 3 Weeks Post-Op

Hi there! I am almost 3 months post op and let me tell you the fatigue is something you cannot understand until it hits you! The first two weeks post op I was a champ! Finally at week 3, I became completely depleted and thought I would never feel normal again! I was sleeping, napping, sitting, moping, lol! I noticed around week 5 I started eating more and was slowly getting more brave and confident in my energy levels. At six weeks I went back to work and found that the normalcy helped with the mental struggle of being soooo run down! I PROMISE that it gets better...mind you I had ZERO complications, was pretty active before surgery and have a husband two kids that I couldn't ignore so I had to bounce back quickly! My first "real meal" albeit very small, was around 5 weeks...it was Frozen Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and french green beans. It became my go-to until I was able to eat everything else. I started out getting about 1/3 of the steak down, a tablespoon of potatoes and beans...now I can eat one "steak", 1/4 cup beans and a little potatoes if there is room. I still avoid almost ALL bread/complex carbs...I started at 278, today I am 233. I only walk...waiting until 3 month appointment to check levels and start more exercise. Best decision I ever made...hang in there always
  7. I drink 1/2 cup (measuring cup) with creamer every morning...keeps me VERY REGULAR.......

    Bacón!

I tried some crumbled bacon in my scrambled eggs at about 4 weeks and regretted it immediately. Tried again at 6 weeks and now I eat a piece almost every morning with my egg I think you have to keep trying and if it feels funny, move on and revisit...same happened to me with nuts. I am 8 weeks post op and eat nuts often

    OCTOBER SLEEVERS CHECK IN HERE

Hi all! Been stalking this forum since before my surgery. Was sleeved on 10/20...all went well. Was VERY tired until last week when I finally returned to 100% energy level. Hitting about 80-90 grams of protein per day, around 850-1000 calories otherwise I feel sluggish. Hit a few stalls but this week the scale is going down slightly everyday. The first few weeks I had high anxiety because I felt like I would never feel "normal" again...was napping everyday and dreaded going back to work. I took 6 weeks off due to nature of my job but I can now say this was the BEST decision I have ever made. Still get a lot of restriction when I eat solids like chicken breast but liquids are no problem. Nuts sit well now, avoiding all soda and sweets...having bites here and there seems to keep the beast at bay
