I struggle with it as well and I'm 7 almost 8 weeks out. I'm not used to having my period monthly because the birth control I'm on stopped my period for 3 months and during the 3rd month I would get it for like 2-3 days so this monthly period I am not used to! And definitely not used to these cramps and bad headaches. Hopefully starting my birth control again will help get back to normal. But I understand your struggle. I hope it gets better for you!! I’m HUNGRY
HealthierGirlLife2018 replied to Ken605's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would wait to see your doctor. I'm 7 weeks out and I saw my doctors last Thursday and gave me the all clear to eat normal foods and told me to experiment with different kinds of foods. You should try scrabble eggs and anything you can MASH up you can have so you don't have to just have potatoes, cream of wheat, or yogurt. You got this! I'm 5 weeks out and I haven't experienced head hungry but man oh man have my taste buds change from week to week. One week I like one thing and the next I'm like keep that away from me. The only things I've had cravings for are a salad and salsa. Think positive and remember you will get through this!! You got this!! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Hi dfluke87 I had my surgery Nov 27 and I'll have pain still if I move the wrong way or bending over the wrong or my biggest struggle has been with wearing normal pants. My wrist of my pants hit right where my 2 incisions...I say 2 because I have the one where they took out my stomach than I have one by my belly button. Even sitting a certain way causes pain. So you aren't alone and don't forget everyone heals differently and everyone handles pain differently. But you aren't alone this was a major surgery and they are cutting through your muscles so it will take some time to heal and the pain to fully go away. I sleep with an ice pack on my stomach every night. You got this! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Low BMI Insurance approval??
HealthierGirlLife2018 replied to sleevemebaby7781's topic in Insurance & Financing
My BMI was 38, I had sleep apnea and a heart condition and was denied. I ended up doing self pay and it wasn't bad with my self pay everything was covered and even 4 days in the hospital were but I was only in for 2 days. So all depends on your insurance and how your providers documentation supports the medical necessity of why getting the surgery is needed. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app -
Personal sleeve question
HealthierGirlLife2018 replied to Brittanyblue's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 24 and just was sleeved on 11/27 so I'm still recovering but I do not regret getting surgery at all. I know it will benefit me in the long run. Also I've noticed a lot of articles about weight loss surgery and how much they benefit people. I hear some people talk about craving sweets or missing eating this type of food but honestly for me I've been craving a salad and salsa (I know the salsa is a weird one to crave) but I really only get hungry once maybe twice a day now. Like I said I don't regret getting this done at all. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app -

When does nausea stop?
HealthierGirlLife2018 replied to EagerPenguin's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums

EKG problems....
HealthierGirlLife2018 replied to Gretchel Z's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yes you can. I have a heart problem and I was sleeved on 11/27. Seeing a cardiologist and getting clearance from that provider is mainly for the anesthesiologist seeing as they are the ones monitoring you while you are under. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that your able to get the surgery done but I don't see why you wouldn't be able too. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app -
11/28/17 Sleevers-Where you at?!
HealthierGirlLife2018 replied to AmyP619's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had my surgery 11/27 and down 21 lbs since surgery. I really only get hungry 1 time during the day but I'm always making sure that I'm staying hydrated. I'm not sure if you noticed but there have been a lot of articles about weight loss surgery, reading those have been interesting. But just realize everyone's body is different and takes differently from the surgery. So you could lose 1 lb this week and 2-3 lb next week. It's just how our bodies are. But your lucky to not get nausea I'm still getting nauseated. You got this! If you ever want to event you can reach out to me and I'll be happy to be a listening ear. But everything will be great! Just keep your head up! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
