Hey guys!!! Day 8 post op, day 3 on full liquids. Just wanting to know if anyone is having trouble with protein? If I add unflavored protein to my creamy soup or if I sip on a protein shake I feel so sick to my stomach. Pudding, sugar free popsicles, water is all okay, but anything with sustenance makes me feel ill. Help!! HW 303 SW 278 CW 268 GW 150 Sleeved 3/6/18

This mirrors my recovery. I am post surgery day 7 today, but was cleared for full liquids yesterday. I believe I slept mostly on my stomach last night and sleeping is become a wonderful thing! I miss texture as well. My program has us reintroducing foods in stages, slowly. It won't be until next week when I can have pureed foods. Slow and steady wins the race. Man!!! I just called in for my post op check in. I can now welcome full liquids, not just clear liquids. I had my first protein drink and that's all I've had today. It's so weird to think that im NOT hungry. I just don't desire eating. I know I have to get this stuff in my belly, but- I'm completely satisfied with one meal a day. MIND BLOWN. Hi Milton!! I walk about 5 minutes four times a day for now. You're way ahead of the game! Superstar! I haven't lost much which is baffling to me since they removed body parts and I've only had liquids. Tonight, I had jello for dinner, 1/3 of a cup and it was almost too much!! Logging it in myfitnesspal, I could see my old food ways and how much jello i had before. Day and night!!!! HW 303 SW 278 CW 275 GW 150 Sleeved 3/6/18

I'm a stomach sleeper, too. Ive found that hugging a pillow and sleeping on my side is still comfortable. I don't get to start Protein until Monday after I call and check in with my surgeon. I'm sore, but like you said, it is getting easier [emoji4] HW 303 SW 278 CW 275 GW 150 Sleeved 3/6/18

First night home in my own bed!! I slept hugging a pillow, which was very comfortable. I kept in check of the pain, and stayed on track with the pain meds. I slept until after noon!!! I'm having jello for the first time since surgery on Tuesday. My goal is 48oz of clear fluids today, (4) five minute walks and healing!! How is everyone else doing?! I am just home today from surgery on the 6th. I have 4 incision sites, one which is very painful- where they removed my stomach. I've not tried gas x but I commented on it in hospital, curious as to why they don't give you any. I'm still on clear liquids only. HW 303 SW 278 (goal) CW 277 GW 150 Sleeve 3/6/18

Brandi, I have been feeling the same way. Lots of pain here in hospital. I was sleeved on the 6th. It's getting easier each day, but I have some regrets. It sounds strange, but I didn't really comprehend that this is permanent. Not like the many diets we've all tried and could just go back to eating normal. This is forver. I'm not. I've not had a BM since before surgery on Tuesday. But I'm barely drinking 30ml of water or broth every 15 minutes or so. The biggest thing I want to do is pass gas!!!!! HW 303 SW 278 (goal) CW 277 GW 150 Sleeve 3/6/18

This is true. I was sleeved on 6th (yesterday). I'm so painful. Especially where they pulled out my stomach. The morphine pump.makes me sick to my stomach, but no puke yet. HW 303 SW 278 (goal) CW 277 GW 150 Sleeve 3/6/18

Hunger for me didn't get easier. I just kept drinking shakes and water and eating yougurt. I'm here now, checked into hospital waiting to go to my room. My anxiety is sky high. Be strong and steady. I was very hangry [emoji6] it gets easier!! Keep your eye on the prize. I froze Greek yogurt for a treat and used unflavored protein in a lot of things to make sure I got my protein. If I got really hungry, I gulped a big cup of water and went walking.
