  1. Okay, this reached a head last night... id been just dealing with it... I passed out after getting out fo bed to get my phone charge last night... work up on the floor in pain from landing on my shoulder.... put in a call to my surgeon this morning, waiting for a call back...

Okay so I’ve lost 140 lbs in total... 100 since surgery in march... i get very light headed when standing though... sometimes worse than others... sometimes I get the whole tunnel vision thing... anyone else experienced this? It’s not every time... but almost very time I stand up out of the recliner or get out of bed too fast... does it go away with time as my body gets used to my new found mobility?
  3. Okay, SO I just got my first Fit test back and my VIT A and E are low. I take two BA Ultra Multi with Iron Capules in the morning. and thats been it. All my other numbers are good except my HDL was also low. Suggestions? Should I just start doing 1 extra cap at night also? 2? Thoughts?
  4. I’m not full after two bites, I’m nauseated.
  5. I know I’m not eating enough.... I’m only getting 40-60grams of protein.... when I’m lucky... today I’m at about 4... I can’t get anything more Than 2 bites
  6. 1 month post DS... food is a struggle... Today, I just can’t eat.... I’m at the store buying some stuff that I feel like I’ll be able to palette.... not exactly healthy, but everything I’ve tried today I get a bite in and can’t go any further... I dot want to be back where I was, but will I ever enjoy my eating again or is it always going to be this strugglesome?
  7. Okay Sleeve/DSers at what point wheee you able to eat more that 4 chicken nuggets? I’m struggling to get protein. I can’t eat more that that and then I’m not hungry for like 5 hours... Shakes make me wanna hurl at this point, and the isopure I’m trying to Dilute and add flavors to cover the aftertaste... but failing.... I really want to get my proteins through food but.. my lord it’s tough!

Okay, so I’m 18 days post op, official move to soft day, a week ago my nutritionist allowed me to add a couple soft foods to my diet and slowly begin transitioning because I was struggling so badly on the purée liquid diet. Since I added any semi soft food to my diet I’ve lost no weight. I’m still only eating about 800 cal a day, but losing nothing. My water intake is where it should be, my protein intake is a little bit low, but I have a really hard time getting a Knouff food in in a day right now still. I am also getting my exercise in but still don’t seem to be losing anything. I’ve heard about the stalls, has anyone had any luck breaking through the stall by increasing activity level, food intake, or water intake?

  10. Okay... need some guidance/confirmations here....I’m in full liquid /purée stage... Surgery was Tuesday, went home Friday, started purée Saturday, and it’s Sunday... Yesterday I had: Apple sauce for breky (i found it takes my blood thinner med and dissolves well, plus I can finish the whole little cup, so I can ensure I get all my med) About half an Atkins Protein Shake for lunch Some Campbell’s Tomato bisque for lunch (only had a few bites) More shake in the afternoon, Apple sauce for dinner (wasn’t really hungry) And some vanilla pudding with Protein powder mixed in for dessert. Thoughts? I got about the same today, different Soups. Yesterday got about 40’oz of Water / sugar free Powerade... today approaching 60oz... I feel like I’m progressing okay... but my Folks (who I’m staying with during recovery) more so my mom is on me every 20-30 minutes nagging about diet and what I’m eating... telling me to calendar because I can’t decide what to eat... I’m having trouble deciding what to eat because I have little appetite so I’m trying to decide on something that won’t make me Nauseated as I try to force it down cause I know I need to eat... I’m a DS HW 405 SW 368 CW 359

  13. Hello All, I am a month into my 3 month diet pre-DS.... currently 6’1” 391. Hoping to drop down to 190 and be very active.... something I currently just can’t be due to my size and lack of energy currently... im wondering if anyone has had any issues or successes training for 5ks and such after or getting into cycling once you’ve shed some pounds. I really want to get into running and such but worry about not having ENOUGH calories to do some hard training for something like that... thoughs?
