What was for breakfast this morning?
Holls06 replied to etc. etc. etc.'s topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I LOVE oysters. I never even thought about how much protein is in them. May have to try and see how well the go down. -
Same here! Eating used to be something i enjoyed. Now i just eat because i know i need it to be healthy. I am learning to eat to live not live to eat.

Thats great! I have always loved salads as well. They are def something i am looking forward too and i hope my stomach likes them as well.

I can agree with this as well. The smell of fast food makes me feel nauseous. And I loved, I mean LOVED fast food before surgery. I don't crave it. No bread or pasta cravings either. The thing i miss the most right now. Is Salads. And I'm craving raw veggies like crazy. I still have a month or two before i can try to introduce those. I cant wait.

Thank you! I do feel great! I can tell a difference. My clothes fit better, and all around feel better. The scale is my enemy right now. I am trying to not weigh my self everyday, because if i do and not see a change then i get discouraged. I think your right, with our lower BMI its going to be a more gradual loss. Which i am OK with that, i just don't want my doctor dissapointed. I'm guessing my doctor saw how well i was recovering and how well the weight was coming off at my 2 week appointment, maybe he thought it would be a realistic goal for me. We will see how the next 2 weeks go, and if i don't make his goal, then I'm not going to sweat it. -
My sleeve was on 12/29, and i'm going through the same thing. I was doing really well the first 2 weeks. Down about 15lbs at my first post op appt on 1/11/18. So my doctor wanted me down another 25 lbs in a month, i had a stand still the last couple weeks and i have to loose 19lbs by my 2nd post op appt in 2 weeks! I'm afraid he wont be able with my results either.

Trouble getting up in the morning
Holls06 replied to Real California April's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have never been a morning person, but it is so much harder for me to get up in the mornings now versus prior to my surgery. And i also feel a little sick as well. After i get up, take a shower and move around i start to feel better. There have been many times i have just wanted to call in. -

I should clarify. At my appointment on 1/11/18. i was at 230lbs, and he wanted me at 205lbs for my next appointment on 2/13. So basically 25lbs in a month. -

How would you rate the ease/difficulty of your first week after surgery?
Holls06 replied to Creekimp13's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
10- Surgery was smooth, recovery was easy. No issues at all. Went to work 5 days post op. -
YES! There are sooo many food commericals, then it makes me crave it. I had my 2 week follow up yesterday and had to do my barium test. It wasnt bad, the stuff you have to drink looks like milk, not much of a flavor. It was neat to see it on the screen move through your stomach.

Yes! I just want something I can chew. So tired of soups and jello and yogurt. Thursday I can start my mushy/pureed food. I'm really excited about tuna lol. Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app -
