I wore mine off and on for like 3 weeks. It helped some what early on with movement, but now I find it very uncomfortable and toss it aside.
-
Just wondering if there's any Sleevers from MN, USA? Would love to talk, I'm having a hard time finding support groups and buddies in MN.

I would not recommend having any alcohol that early, it can cause to much stomach irritation while you're healing.

They said pain can be expected. If it's a pain on you left side under neath your ribs that doesn't go away and is accompanied by chills and fever I would alert your care team right away. Drinking to fast can be upsetting, and it's a challenge for sure. If you're like me your bodies used to gulping. Just stay mindful and you'll pull through!

Congrats on 1 year out! You look great, keep on keeping on!

i'm about 3 weeks out of surgery and I belch a lot after drinking (also hiccups, which are just awful) I also have bad GERD. I'd maybe consult your Dr. it could be something simple as changing you antacid meds from one to another. Best of luck!

In my program they recommend not drinking for up to 1 year after surgery. I'm not sure why. Honestly if you're healed just go slowly, listen to your body and if it says "No not yet" then stop. Hope all goes well!

Try a hot or cold pack on you tummy at night. Personally a hot pack soothed my muscles and stomach and allowed for much better sleep. It's hard to sleep on your sides for awhile though. -

Not gonna lie it's a hard and strenuous journey. But you'll pull through fine, and you'll be better and healthier for it. My Dr. always said "You see a lot of overweight people, and a lot of old people. But not a lot of overweight old people" and that rang true for me. You're doing the right thing for yourself and your loved ones. Just take it one day at a time!

Increased heartbeat after surgery
Joe88 replied to Candiakilah's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
That is such wonderful information. I've been kind of on the other spectrum where now the docs had to remove me from my blood pressure meds because it was getting a tad to low and causing some of those symptoms. -

Hi everyone, I had VSG on Dec 4th. I'm having a lot of issues with stomach inflammation and irritation and it's been kind of a struggle. I was moved to Pureed yesterday, so finally I can eat something that tastes normal. I'd love to chat with anyone out there through any medium and just share the journey/thoughts even if you need to vent.
