Congratulations on your weight loss! I too am experiencing excessive hair loss. I had my surgery 11/27 and my hair keeps falling out. I am going to try and up my protein and see if that helps. Good luck with your hair loss!

It is very difficult to adjust to not being able to eat the same things you used to eat but the harder part for me is not being able to eat the same amount of food. I stuck to the pre-op diet very strictly and I just told myself that I HAD to have the surgery because it will prevent me from overeating my way to being obese. If you REALLY want to lose weight, you will adapt to these changes better. Good luck with your decision! Christina

Jamieohh, It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I wish I would have done it earlier! My surgery and recovery went GREAT! I am still losing weight and I actually have energy to do things! What in particular has you on the fence?

Hey BeckyVSG2b! I did have a private room after surgery. Which doctor is doing your surgery? I have a REALLY great experience with Dr. Abbas at Memorial, all of the nurses after the surgery were GREAT too! I am sure you will do very well! Good luck and let me know if you have any questions at all!

I had my gastric sleeve surgery in Jacksonville, FL. It was with Dr. Abbas at Memorial Hospital.

I had my surgery on the 27th of November as well and I am down a little over 20 lbs and I am stalling right now too, it is very frustrating! Let me know if you start losing weight faster after you incorporate working out. I am only allowed to be walking for now, I am trying to walk everyday but still at a stall.
