I wonder: does them labeling you as “high risk” effect your chances at having a natural birth? Have they spoken to you about your birthing choices? -

Depending on who’s your insurance provider, you could wait up to two weeks for an approval. Who’s your provider? -
YUP! We’re purposefully having our wedding May 2019 because I will go out for surgery February 2018. My biggest fear is loving a dress and not fitting it Im going to wait until a year out to go dress shopping!!

I am 5’6 with a starting weight of 245. My insurance is MD based Medicare and it’s UnitedHealthcare Community Plan. Bariatric surgery is covered by state plans as long as you meet the requirements- in my case, since I had a lower BMI (standard is 40 or less) I had to have at least ONE comorbidity with for me is Type 2 Diabetes. Call your insurance company to find out more!
