  1. I will be 6 months post op in 2 days. No regrets here. If you put in the effort the weight will come off. I'm down 130+ since the beginning.

    Incision around navel

That's what my doctor did. I didn't even know I had an incision there until my 7 day follow up and I said I felt a scab (it was the incision glue) in my navel. They said that is where my stomach was removed.

    Endoscopy?

I had a coworker drive me to and from my endoscopy appointment. We left from our office. I drove myself home from the office and had no issues but I was wide awake and felt really good. I just had to give them the phone number for my ride and they called when I was finished.
  5. Had my surgery on 11/29 and went back to work 1/2 but I had some use or lose leave to burn. I enjoyed the whole month of December off. I could have been back to work within a week if needed.

    Scared and debating

I was apprehensive as well. I finally got to a point where I can't go on living like this. Having the sleeve done was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I don't regret it one bit. I read a lot before I decided and there were stories that could have easily changed my mind but I know everybody reacts differently to these changes. I'm 8 weeks post op now and have had zero complications. I walk 15-20 miles a week (since day 2 post op) and just recently started weight training. I've never really felt a restriction with food intake. I don't over eat. I don't have any issues with getting my fluids and best of all I've lost 75 lbs since my 2 week pre op appointment on 11/15. Basically, I've changed my lifestyle for the better.
  7. I think I drove to get my pain meds after I was discharged and taken home by a friend. I never had to take the meds and was driving pretty regularly the first week.

    Premier Protein Clear

I try to drink one of these a day after I exercise. I think they are definitely the best tasting "clear" protein drink.

    Two-derland!

Thanks! It seems to be coming off pretty easy but I'm putting the work in to get there. 225 here we come.

    Two-derland!

Congrats! I'm not far away from two-derland. I started at 377 on 11/15/2017 and I'm down to 317 as of yesterday.

    Waking up in The Binder

I didn't have a "binder" either. I don't really see the purpose. My incisions were very small. They pulled my stomach out through my navel and I didn't really even know I had an incision there until the FNP told me.
  12. I think it depends on your insurance requirements. Mine (FEP Blue BCBS) just required me to complete 3 nutrition classes. I weighed 1 lb less at my last class/appointment and had no issues with approval.

    Family not supportive

When they see the results I'm sure they will feel differently. I was the last of my siblings to get the surgery. Both my sisters had it done and were successful with the weight loss. I just waited too long to get it done.
  14. I was sleeved 11/29 and have lost 28 lbs since surgery date and 50 lbs since 2 week pre op liquid diet. No complications, no issues with getting my recommended fluids in. My doctor has never stressed getting protein in. They want veggies first then protein. Seems counter intuitive to most recommendations I've read on here. I'm just starting my soft food stage today.
  15. I've never experienced any nausea either.
