Thank you all for reaching out... I just hope one day someone will treat me as good as I do them..

Thank you. I was feeling good about myself until he started acting the way he is... he hasn’t tried to sabotage my weight loss just makes fun of me for exercising and eating healthy. I just don’t feel pretty now.

I just feel like I’m never going to find someone now... feel hopeless :-/

I regretted my sleeve the first few days after surgery as well, but have grown to love my sleeve.. it was the absolute best decision I could have ever made for myself.. it is hard in the beginning because you are relearning how and what to eat. It is not the end of the world.. I am much more satisfied now with food than I ever was when I was bigger. My relationship with food has changed. once you are able to have regular food again it will get better. The worst part of the entire thing to me was the liquid and purée part of the diet. Don’t do anything to sabatoge your surgery, right now you are at risk of having a leak. If you ever feel like talking please reach out. I am here as well as many others in this group..

With weight loss, you will be able to get rid of the machine.. my surgeon took me off of mine at my 1 month post-op appointment since I technically didn’t need it to begin with since my sleep apnea was the lowest number you can have

I am 5 months post-op and am struggling to get over 800 calories a day.. nutrirtionist told me I should be consuming 1100-1200 calories a day.. I can eat a 5oz yogurt in one sitting too but it takes me 25 min or so to eat it.. once I’m too full I get hiccups. I would just try to eat slower if I were you. There are times I feel like my stomach can hold more too but I definitely don’t over indulge like I used to!

I had the mildest case of sleep apnea and my insurance denied coverage of the c-pap machine and my surgeon refused to let me have surgery without using it for a month prior to surgery. It took an act of Congress fighting to get my insurance to cover the machine. Used it like I was instructed and it made me choke and have nose bleeds every single day it was used since I technically didn’t need it but I was told to take mine to the hospital too and didn’t use it at all.. I don’t know about others, but I was up every hour it seemed and didn’t sleep from either pain or nurses coming in to check on me so it wouldn’t have done much for me to use it lol

I started taking biotin 3 months before I had surgery and I never eat less than 100g of protein a day and my hair is still falling out in huge clumps. My surgeon said nothing we do will prevent it from happening and that everyone’s experience is different and that it will slow down once I am 6 months from surgery. I was advised by a dermatologist to stay away from any shampoo that says it promotes hair growth because once you start it, you have to use it the rest of your life.. so I’ve stayed away from nioxin and kerinique and all of those.. I found a hair mask at Sephora that has really helped my hair from Madam CJ Walker. It was on sale when I ordered it, but it is a protein mask that you use every other week. The hair in my shower drain is getting smaller every single day since using that.. I am still taking in 100g of protein and biotin daily.. I as so stressed and expressed for the first 2 weeks I was experiencing hair loss but have accepted that it is part of the journey and that it will grow all, besides.. who wants a head full of super thick hair in the hot summer lol..

Periods after gastric sleeve

If I don’t take my birth control around the same time every day, I will bleed.. like clockwork... it has been terrible after surgery. My surgeon said it would regulate itself once I’m in maintenance phase 🙄 went to my “lady” doctor and she told me the same thing.. so I’ve been taking my birth control between 6-8a every single day to help. -
I’ve been having a rough go lately.. I’m 4.5 months post-op... my weight loss has stalled for a month, my hair falling out and my boyfriend broke up with me last night and I can’t seem to lose my butt or my gut! I took measurements and have only lost 1” in my thighs and 6” in my hips and 2” in my stomach since surgery.. will this ever get smaller? I feel like my progress is so much slower than everyone else’s and I don’t know if I am doing something wrong or it’s just my 30 years of bad luck sticking around.. I have been walking 2-3 Miles 4-5 days a week and doing weight training.. so discouraged right now. Fml

I’m in the same boat as you.. single, hate cooking.. not even really enough time cause of work.. I eat the same thing every single day.. definitely old.. and my weight loss has slowed so I am discouraged at this point

It has been a very long month for me! I have only seen a 1 lb loss in the last month.. my hair is falling out and I am taking in between 80-100+grams of protein each day.. my caloric intake is around 800 and I am exercising 5-6 days a week, plus exceeding my 64oz of water intake daily.. something has got to give soon... my reflux is finally starting to get under control, but that is the only positive thing!!! What am I doing wrong??! Called my surgeon and they told me I am right on track... frustrated.. I measured myself today and I have only lost 22inches total since my surgery 4.5 months ago.. anyone have any advice or go thru the same thing as I am experiencing right now? Surgery date: 11/29/17 SW: 324 CW: 261 GW: happy & healthy (ideally 175-185)

I have kept mine a secret as well and I’m almost 5 months post-op. My parents and 2 very close friends that have also had the surgery are the only ones that know.. people have noticed my weight loss.. and that I have been eating better and exercising more. I have no regrets about keeping my decision private.. I am like you, from a small town and people talk too much..

Thank you... it just keeps getting worse.. protein is up, take my multivitamins and biotin and drink my fluids... hopefully it stops soon or I will be bald

I know the process of the hair lol just wish it didn’t happen!!! More stressed out about it than I am anything else and I have one of the most stressful jobs in the world! I just get so full so easy.. took 3 bites of chicken at dinner tonight and am still full and that was 4 hours ago. I currently drink premier protein shakes. I will look into other ones to alternate and switch it up. Thank you for understanding where I’m at... glad to know others still supplemented when they were 4 months post-op!

Mattymatt and fluffychix, I feel like you guys are making fun of me or mocking me.. body beast isn’t THAT hard... yes, there are some things I still can’t do at 100% but I am trying and lifting the weights to help with toning and help with excess skin. I work out and eat right.. so please if you are going to be bullies go somewhere else because I don’t need to be beat down anymore than I already am. Thought this was a place to come for support and not get made fun of when simply asking for help!!!!! And so what if I drink a protein shake or 2 a day when I have to get my protein and calories in without resulting to foods that are bad for you. So if you’re going to continue to make fun of me and bash me, please get off my thread.

I have been doing body beast and walking.. body beast is 6 days a week.. I walk maybe 3 or 4 days of those 6.. my surgeon told me at my last appt a few weeks ago that since I am lifting weights to drink an extra protein shake a day before/after my workout to aid in the muscle recovery. I’m going to call the nutritionist tomorrow and send him my food and exercise logs and see what he thinks I need to be doing.
-
I am drinking 2 a day to get my protein up and because I lift weights and do cardio. I try to get it by food but I physically can not eat a lot of food without getting to the point of vomiting.. the only vegetables I can eat without getting sick are green beans. Plus my hair is falling out and my surgeon told me to add another shake to help get my protein over 100g a day
-
Thanks.. this is the 3rd time I have stalled.. my surgeon and nutritionist said to keep what I’m doing but I’m just frustrated!!
-
I have a protein shake and about 5 blueberries or raspberries for breakfast, lunch I have turkey or chicken and a string cheese, dinner I have cottage cheese, another lean protein and have another protein shake after I workout.. I am going to look at changing something here because this isn’t working!!!

I work in law enforcement and I took 1 week total off. “Vacation” if you will. My surgery was on a Wednesday and I was back fighting crime on Monday morning.. I def wasn’t cleared to lift over 15 lbs so I took it easy.. I was really exhausted the first few weeks but now I’m at work at 530 in the mornings with no problem! Just wish I could get out of this stall I’m in!

I keep seeing ads for hair jazz shampoo on my Facebook and Instagram. Wondering if anyone here has tried it with actual results..

I am having a ton of hair loss right now.. just started 2 weeks ago.. I was hoping and praying it wouldn’t happen to me.. my hair is to my butt and used to be so thick.. now it is so thin and looks terrible.. I have been taking biotin and upped my protein to nothing under 100g a day and haven’t missed my vitamins.. I am going tomorrow to cut my hair from my butt to my shoulders and I’m so upset about it.. cried every day thinking about tomorrow.. I pray it gets better for everyone going thru his!!
-
I have had 3 stalls now and I’m just over 4 months post-op.. I do know that the hair loss is real and it’s a monster I’m only down 55 lbs too.. just feel like my progress is slower than others..

I only take protonix for reflux since surgery. I called my surgeons office today and they gave me conflicting information.. I asked if I had any deficiencies that I was not told about in my blood work 3 weeks ago and everything was good with the exception of vitamin d, she said it wasn’t low to where I needed to supplement, but taking one every other day or so won’t hurt.. she told me to come in to be seen because most Bariatric patients don’t experience hair loss until 6-9 months post-op (which is where I felt conflicted since a lot of people on this forum have experienced hair loss around 3 months post-op). I have been using Ultrax Labs Hair Surge for 2 days now and taking silica supplements for 2 days as well. I didn’t have “as much” hair in the drain and my brush this morning as I did Friday/Saturday. I am hoping this is over quickly. I am going to my stylist Friday to cut 8” off my hair. Going from my butt to my shoulders I was hoping to go back blonde for summer too, but with as much as my hair is falling out, I’m terrified!
