    Too fat for a bypass

I'm 5'5, and my surgery weight was 409, so I fell into the super obese category. I was actually 440 at the start of the program. I had RNY done via laparoscopic surgery and I've had no issues or complications.

    January bypass buddies??

Hi, everyone. Just doing a quick check in. I had my surgery 1/30/18. HW was 440, surgery weight was 409. I'm currently at 295. I feel like I'm losing slowly, but so happy to be in 2's. I have a long way to go, but thankful for where I am now. Congrats to everyone on their weight loss!

  4. I'm in Rochester, NY. I only had to do clear liquids the day before surgery, and nothing else after midnight.
  5. No, I was told at the first nutrition appt that by the end of the 3 months required, I had to lose the 5%. Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. Based on my insurance, I had to lose 5% of my weight to qualify.

    January bypass buddies??

Yes, I do. I know I have to stop comparing, but I see people saying they've lost like 30-40 lbs in 2 weeks and I'm like, well what the hell am I doing wrong?

    January bypass buddies??

Hey everyone. So, I had surgery Jan 30th. Starting weight in Sept was 440. I went into surgery weighing 404. Came home from the hospital at 409 and now I'm 395. It's been 3 weeks and I feel like the weight loss is so slow. I'm following my plan and trying not to get frustrated. Any words of advice?

    January 30! Surgery Buddy!?

I'm home and feeling okay. Just sore and tired. I had my gallbladder removed, as well. It's hard trying to get these protein shakes and fluid in. Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Hi everyone! I'm doing okay, just very sore. I had my gallbladder out also and the Dr said it was tough to get out. I had a lot of stones in there. I've been sipping water and a protein shake today. I should be going home in the morning. Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. Thank you so much! I have to be to the hospital at 11am and surgery is at 1pm. Good luck and prayers to everyone else having surgery. I'll check back in when I can. Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app

    January 30! Surgery Buddy!?

I'm excited and so nervous. Are you ready? I have to call Monday to find out what time surgery is. I'm thinking about starting an Instagram page for my progress. I have a regular page already, but think it would be cool so have a separate one for weight loss.
