Not really. I wanted to make myself laugh in light of feeling kinda .. blah. I don't need encouragement. I don't want to be your "puppy with worms" and in constant need of fluffing.. I just am a tad down and want this process to speed up a few (what are those speed things called-rpm? No idea lol) And, well these were my last few pics. And if you haven't realized I am a chronic picture taker in this venture because, well hello, memory You all should do. If where we want to go, which is a healthier body and look smokin' cute ( and we shall), we want memories of us now, even if it makes us cringe ( now) there will be a time, when it won't So, get your cameras out now and snap away Vogue Love, Joanna

The scale sometimes really goes to bat for us
Toomanytacos posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm feeling a little happy right now. At the risk of sounding braggy, I'll be brief Dropped another 3lbs since Monday.. (298) It might seem too early to be so happy about weight loss. But for a good 14 years, no matter how strict a diet, I couldn't get below that 300 mark But it's exciting because I know I will look back at these photos in a year, a year and a half and think, "I can't believe I did it" June: When I rejoined the YMCA -365 pounds Nov 27, 2017 I began my preop diet : 344 pounds Dec 11, 2017. Day of VSG surgery : 321 pounds Today: 295 pounds See me in a year -

What lunch looks like- 6weeks 2 days post op
Toomanytacos posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
This was a bigger lunch I had the other day. 6 weeks post op VSG I missed breakfast, so that wasn't good. But this is a general lunch /dinner for me The food portions are 2oz beans 3 oz chicken breast 1 teaspoon humus 1 teaspoon picante sauce 1/4 of a pita pocket (I decided to not eat any more break, even 1/4) until the tail end of my weight loss).. Carbs can be an award, when I've lost the bulk of my weight It looks like a lot of food, but it's really not -

so if you do weight training, you don't think I'll gain from it? Because that is my worry. Like, how can I lose weight and lift weights to avoid skin hanging as much as possible if "muscle weighs more than fat" Does what I'm saying make sense? I've been wondering but no one seems to understand what I'm talking about lol IF I lose weight bc I am only eating 700 calories a day, right? but Im also lifting weights to build muscle, and muscle weighs more than fat, the scale would essentially stay the same, because im stuck. The pounds ( or fat) im losing by being on such a low calorie diet would be offset by the weight im adding by weight training. Make sense? What is the solution ? Keep weight training or wait until i get normal size and THEN weight train? -

You are so lucky. It was 3 weeks (1 week more than the two weeks in my book) before I was okay'd to go swimming Also, I couldndt' lift over 15 pounds for like 6 weeks. It was terrible the restrictions I had.. But Im so happy for you. God has really blessed you in all this. Yay -

You're fixing to hit a stall, if you haven't already. I can't say this emphatically as everyone is different, but this is my hunch. I hope I'm wrong, bc it sucks prayers for your success -

That's great. I wish you lived closer. I weight train, or have begun again I should say. Same reason, 6 month mark. Question.. I had a trainer tell me I should wait to get down to my ideal weight (and then do weight training) which I mean, kinda makes sense because if I am weight training while trying to lose weight, I won't see that big a diff on the scale bc of pounds going down from fat is refilled by pounds from muscle, which weighs more. I don't know the answer so I asked and that is what I got. Then another trainer at the Y where I work out said, for me to do lightest weights and more reps to burn fat, and do highest weights , less reps to bulk up, which would not be the option I'd choose, it would be option 1.. Your thoughts (and Im only asking cause you seem to know man healthy gym stuff" lol I am super proud of you.. Wonderful -

ITCH LIKE CRAZY & RASH! OMG
Toomanytacos replied to Seahawks Fan's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Bless your heart. I wish I knew an answer They told us in our preop instructions, not to shave on our stomach or near the incision site. I thought that was weird for them to say that ( I don't shave my stomach, I'm a woman ) but now, reading your post, I understand why. Bless your heart. I'm sorry, ask the doctor what cream will help -
Me. 46 pounds smaller since preop diet Nov 27

Anyone can post a photo of their face, neck up.. Here is my body today, 6 weeks post op VSG surgery 6 weeks today It's just the beginning (For any of you wondering, or struggling with weight, let me make myself clear. My self worth is not reliant on how much I lose in this process. It's a health and confidence thing, but I value myself now, as is. You should value yourself. This is an outer shell we use to transport the grounds of this earth. It's just our shell. You're beautiful)
