    BCBS Federal Anypne?

I was just wondering a few things about the process with Blue Cross Blue Shield federal. I have almost checked all the boxes and completed everything on my list, and I plan on submitting the paperwork to the insurance on the 25th of this month. I guess my question is 2 fold: 1. How long does it take for them.to approve the surgery? (Assuming that I am approved of course). 2. How soon after approval can we have surgery? I am at a bit of a time crunch because I am a teacher and I go back to work on July 30th and would like to have at least 4 or 5 days of recovery before I start that week. The 1st week usually consists of meetings and setting up the classroom, and it's just the teachers before the kids return. I am getting my classroom set up now so that the physical labor when I return is minimal or non existent. Any suggestions? Is that even feasible to assume that I will have surgery within a month of submitting the paperwork? Sent from my SM-G892U using BariatricPal mobile app

Facility deducting 2 pounds for clothing??

Yes. I need to go in for the next two.months now, and see the NUT again. They want to submit when they can submit 3 months of consistent 40+BMI and a weigh in with the NUT that also shows 40+. Ugh. Sent from my SM-G892U using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. I am right there on the border of 40 bmi. The place where I just went has said that they deduct 2 lbs for clothing when you weigh in. This would bring my BMI to 39.8 (no comorbidities) and I am wondering if anyone ever heard of this???? Is this typical/normal?? Sent from my SM-G892U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Low BMI Insurance approval??

I was wondering what everyone's Experience is with Insurance approval if they have a lower BMI (BETWEEN 35 and 38) with no co-morbidities. At At 1st I just assumed that I was going to have to be a self pay client, but after a little more research, saw that maybe I could get insurance cover it. I currently have Florida Blue. anyone have any experience with this? Sent from my SM-G892U using BariatricPal mobile app

  20. I could be intrested in doing that! I haven't really researched doctor ortiz. I was thinking about going with doctor Lopez. I wonder if they would cut us an even bigger discount if we agreed to share a hotel Room? Would you be willing to do that as well? I think this would be so much better than going at it alone. Just the idea makes me nervous. Sent from my SM-G892U using BariatricPal mobile app
