Brittney let me be kinda practical. At 148 you'll still have curves, your boobs won't have to compete with your belly for attention and your booty will be small enough a guy can hold each cheek in his hands when he pulls you close to him. Put out your sweet personality toward him and rein him in, if he has even half his hormones working he'll like what he sees, want to get closer to you, and from then you two will write your own kind of music. I wish you the best, because you deserve the best life can offer. Go for it!

haha thank you! You are totally right. I actually have found a boyfriend who is super understanding of the surgery and effects. He just says I am not allowed to loose my ass. He doesn't care if my boobs deflate haha. He is overweight too and I just him just the way he is!

My dear, there will be plenty of men out there! I will be perfectly honest with you I like my wimmen curvy. But at the same time the figure does not make or break the relationship. It is in the personality of the woman, if the guy doesn't see the " real" you then please leave the no good, non deserving bastard by the road and move on! You deserve the best and if he can not support you on your journey then he obviously isn't worth your time to begin with! :)

thank you! that is so true.

Who will like you skinny? From my experience it'll be a mix. Some will be people who wouldn't have had anything to do with you at your current weight. That's ok, people are entitled to like what they like. Others won't care one way or the other. You are a beautiful woman. The key is finding someone who likes you for you and vice versa. At the end of the day, don't worry if they're going to like you...you should really be asking yourself if they are worthy of you.

That is great advise! Yes I guess it is ok if they only like skinny girls. I am normally attracted to skinny guys too so I can't be mad about that. I do know I deserve an amazing man. I guess maybe I will have more options.

  4. My surgery was on 2/12. I have been taking time off from dating to focus on myself. I think it would be better to wait until I'm at least at my goal weight. I am concerned what kind of guys will be into me when I am skinny though. I haven't ever been small. The men who usually hit on me say they like curvy women... what if they don't like me when I am 148 lbs.

  5. Every time I eat something I have to unhook my bra or hold up my boobs to allow the food to pass through my esophagus to my stomach. I wish I could go braless but they don't look good just laying there when I am in public. I tried a bralette but that is too much fabric around my upper waist also. I need a better solution!

  6. My Nutritionist said to try and get 400-500 calories a day for the first week but mostly to focus on getting in enough liquids. 48-64 Oz of liquids a day. I reached my calorie goal easily when I ate Cream of Wheat. I waited about a week after surgery to eat that though, but it is high in Carbs and calories but delicious and pretty easy to get down. I am now in my second week and am told to get in 500-600 calories a day. My surgery was on 2/12 and I just got back to work today. I work a desk job. I am still in some pain and wish I could take some of my harder meds, but I will wait until after work so that I can stay coherent.

  8. That is pretty crazy but also understandable I think. I think if your spouse is on board with you during this life change and you have a good marriage then it shouldn't effect the marriage. I have a cousin though who lost a ton of weight and left her husband. She completely changed and I am not even sure if she had a surgery or not but her ex husband is still very obese. I am sure there was more to that but still. I am currently single and have been trying to not date for the last few months so I can focus on bettering myself. Now that my surgery is in 2 weeks I am realizing that I want to stay single during this journey. I am doing this for my own self-esteem and health. I don't need the pressure of trying to look good for a bf and dragging him along on this life changing journey. I am expecting a lot of ups and downs.
