I would definately contact your doctor. It is better to be safe than sorry.

55 pounds that is awesome! You might try adding some exercise into your plan (if you aren't already). That has helped me to keep the weight lose going when the scale is slowing down. Good luck!

Filled in June, TIGHTER (w/no fill) in October! Has this happened to you?

First let me say, "OMG....$1000 for a fill?" You are getting ripped off. Do some searching . You can get fills much cheaper. Okay, on to your question. I too find that as I am getting more and more fills that they are lasting longer and sometimes when I think I'm "loose" then something gets stuck. I think it has something to do with what we eat. On the days that you are able to eat more, are you eating softer foods? Softer foods slide through easier and therefore don't keep you filled as long. Also, when you are feeling full and satisfied is it because you've filled yourself with protein which will fill you quicker and keep you fuller longer. You might try making at least a mental note of what you are eating over the next week and see if those two things are playing a corrilation to the full feeling. Good luck on making the decision to get your fill or not. It really is a trick to figure out if you need one or not. -
I'm surprised your doctor hasn't put you on a high protein shake until he can figure out why you can't eat solids. When I looked at your diet of things you can eat they seem like they contain some health foods (applesause...if it is sugar free, yogurt...if it is lowfat/low sugar), but you are are also eating things that are not good for you. I'm surprised your doctor is allowing you to eat any type of noodles. They aren't healthy for weight lose and they get "stuck" very easy because they expand. I'm sure you are fustrated with not being able to eat a variety of food and I'm wondering if you would be honest...are you eating things like ice cream? I know that goes down easy and would be a great treat to fill the tummy. How many meals are you eating? Three small meals are all you are to be eating. Are you grazing? That can add up even if it is only small bites at a time. Also, are you exercising at all? That seemed to be the real turning point for me. You need to find something you like and stick with it. If you don't like what you try at first then try something else. You have to keep moving! The lapband was never the cure to lose weight, but rather a tool to help you. I don't think I have all the answers, but I do think I see some problems with what you are doing. I hope my advice helps you. Best of luck.

I'm sorry to hear that you are discouraged. I was banded Feb. 26, 2008 and have had two fills. I've lost 35 lbs. so far. I too am walking/jogging about 4 miles 4 times a week. The weight is flowing off of me but it is coming off. Maybe you need to have another fill. Are you eating only three meals a day? Are you drinking with your meals? How long are you waiting to drink after you eat? I try to make it 2 hours after I eat if I can. Talk to your doctor. Tell him your concerns. I wish you the best and don't get discouraged. The weight didn't come on overnight...and it will not come off that way.

Heather, You will be fine. Eachday gets better. Don't be surprise is the gas pains show up in the next couple of days. It is all normal. I think I started feeling "normal" by day 4 or 5. Hang in there! It is all worth it.
