OK so i was planning on getting this done actually looking forward to it. Seen a post got scared. I have no comorbidities i was just over the 40 BMI. I started nortripyline for headache prevention and well there goes almost 10 pounds i was 254 at that point i was trying to maintain so my insurance would cover procedure i am now not eligible. Loss of appetite is very rare for nortriptyline and im actually grateful i fast usually in the morning until 11 or 12 eat lunch and sometimes through out the day ill have a yogurt or a piece of fruit and im fine until dinner. and dinner is way smaller portions then i was doing so i guess for right now surgery is off.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. So I have been asked by my family to give diet and exercise another go. I dont have a hematologist the one disorder i do have only if provoked should i throw a clot. I do take aspirin 325 daily for preventative. My other issue with surgery is i have no comorbidities and if i loose like 2 pounds i wont qualify so i will give it another shot and see what happens. Also i was 280 and did the 21 day fix and got down to 245 and then had two kids back to back so maybe if i commit myself ill do good again.

so i look on here almost every day i had came across a post about a a woman and her mother and law doing the gastric sleeve but mother in law passed away from a blood clot and it was said she was doing everything she was supposed to do. Me i have a blood clotting disorder and im now terrified i mean i always knew that was a option but this has made me realize to go at diet and exercise again. Im modifying the 21 day fix to fit low carb and intermittent fasting. I am going to stop making excuses and go to the gym before i have to get kids to school and go to work. If this fails i will revisit surgery but for right now i feel like this is the right for me at this point in time. Any one change there minds?

Split decision - My mother in law had vsg 12/14/17 and passed away 12/21/17. I don’t know if I should cancel my own surgery!

I have been overweight my whole life. I was never a small girl always felt like i wasn't good enough. after for kids i have been stuck between 280 and 245 currently im 249 dont know how i have been eating horrible. i did my seminar now just waiting on the consultation. so my boyfriend and best-friend are freaking out saying with my blood clot disorder im putting myself in danger. They have said im taking the easy way out. i have dieted for years tried so many things and failed. why do people say this is the easy way out surgery is a serious thing.

I really prefer to eat clean less tummy issues but since i need my insurance to cover my surgery i need to weight at least 250 which i float in between 245 and 250 i was 252 when i weighed a couple weeks ago. weighed myself last night i was 249 what the heck i have been eating carbs like a crazy person. when i eat healthy the weight seems to not budge i feel better but weight stays the same. if i fall below 250 my BMI goes to 39 i have been stuck in my 240's for years i dont know what to do.

so with out including insurance i have to be cleared by pulmonology cardiology see nutritionist have blood work and all that stuff that goes along with preop. im excited to get everything scheduled and get t he ball rolling im glad that they are very thorough. My consultation is this month so im probably looking at the end of next year to have everything done. If i get into see all the specialists before then ill be shocked. Specialty practices are always so booked. anyway what all did the doc require that your insurance did not. O and i have to be cleared by psyc too forgot about that one.

This is the issue i am having. i loose 5 pounds i get below BMI of 40. My stomach is all messed up from going back to eating what ever. I have no problem eating healthy i actually prefer it except around my menstrual lol. but im always stuck at in the 240's if im in the 250's im in the bmi of 40 it is so easy for me to get the the 240's but i get absolutely no where once i am there it is so frustrating that is why i decided to get the sleeve. So i did the seminar and i have my consultation appointment scheduled i cant wait until that appointment. -
