This has been... just a whole crazy crazy adventure. Highest weight 402, currently around 200-210. Had my surgery at 325lbs 2018-01-22, will have my TT on 2021-06-04 over 3 long years. I am happy I am stable (weight shifting a bit up and down but never too major) and i was approved for a panni. But with my weight loss and how my skin hangs, the surgeon suggested a fleur de lys since my upper stomach have what I call my second set of boobs. I am excited and scared of this new adventure but I will say my self confidence took a big hit with how my body now is first two is the current me, and the last one probably at my highest. I hate showing my stomach now, even to my partner. When i bought my bikini, they had a hard time to find a bottom that I was asking for to cover the whole stomach. While the skin on my arms bothers me, it will most likely never be done. My legs will be as they are covered but should be in a year from now I assume.

1year out, stomach pain?
Keira Fae replied to Keira Fae's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
it's more lower belly, a bit under my bellybutton. I did call the nurses and see what they will tell me -
Any of you experienced stomach pain? I am a year out and since last week I eat a bit and I start to cramp for a few hours. I eat less then my usual and stop eating as soon as it hurts and it's about half my regular portions. I can live with the pain and it's not because I over eat, when i do eat more the pain is more around my ribs and feel like I got food stuck in my throat and it isn't the case right now, the pain it more lower stomach. My stomach is also very hot to touch

I do feel good, it's nice to see this big change in well a bit over a year. Hardly anything left to lose to be "normal" bmi a plce a never thought I could reach. I don't eat a lot but i will see the surgeon again soon.

I had my surgery jan 22 2018, I am about to be 13 months out. (34year old, 5'7) What a journey. Started at 402lbs, a weight I now can't believe I had. it's crazy and unreal. My skin DOES reminds me that "hey you had that weight" but I am trying to have less floppy skin I wish I worked on it before but it's fine. And maybe tmi but also working on my breasts so they are less in a sad shape. I don't necessarily eat well and I probably eat less that I am supposed to but I am proud. 13 months ago i was at 323.4lbs, today I am at 187.8, sometimes i gained 1-4lbs, then i lose it back and lose some more. I only really had one plateau that lasted a month, i had some plateau that lasted a week or even two but after weight somewhat catched up, losing in general from 6lbs to 10-12lbs per month, I still got a few to lose to not be in "bmi overweight" but i am no longer in obesity. I am focusing more on my skin then my weight loss. I wouldn't say surgery changed my life, but yes it improved it. I sometime see myself bigger then I actually am. I am still afraid to sit in booth thinking I won't fit... yet i fit with space to go. my shirt size went from like 3x to M or L. picture of day of surgery at 323 and now

Weight stalled third week post op
Keira Fae replied to nyguy28's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
i haven't lost much since surgery compared to others around my weight, I am 3 months out went from 323.4 to 286.4 (37lbs) I stall very often but I do find that I lose more inches when i stall vs when I do shed the pounds. As long as you keep it with the plan you will lose weight. -
Weight percentage question
Keira Fae replied to Keira Fae's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
oh wow no it's me who didn't write "60% of excess weight" it's what I meant lol! but then again since I have such a high weight it would be plausible for me 180-200lbs ... -

Weight percentage question
Keira Fae replied to Keira Fae's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know I count it a weird way I found somewhere that for someone 5'7 ideal weight is 134lbs http://www.calculator.net/ideal-weight-calculator.html So what I do is I take my weight (323) - (134) = 189 /100 = 1.89 then I do 1.89 x 60 = 113.4 = 60% I like maths with weight loss for some reason but I try to not think ahead or I stress out but it's fun to calculate for the present loss. So far I am a slow loser but in overall I did very good @FluffyChix -

I have a question that it might be best to ask my surgeon but I don't see him until a couple of weeks When they say to except a 60% weight loss is it from highest weight or surgery weight? I am wondering since my HW was 402 (march 2017), surgery weight 323 (jan 2018) So if 60% from HW it's approx 240lbs and Surgery weight: 210lbs right now I am at 300 (so 23lbs lost in 7 weeks)

I have so many things I would love to do, but as a total geek I will say : a nice cosplay. I do not allow myself to do any cosplay at the moment because I think it looks horrible.... I am very self conscious and it's the kind of thing that irks me. I want to travel, not be shy to wear a bathing suit, cute knee high boots, pretty corsets. I hate plus size fashion soooo much, I keep looking like an aunt.... -
same thing for Canada really, the bariatric surgeon might say you need some skin removal for your health but that's really the minimal work to remove the flab because it might get infected and what not

Waiting is the worst part
Keira Fae replied to Elizabeth 06388's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well "free" health care comes with one major problem, the waiting time. My own surgeon does private and public surgeries so if I wanted to pay it would of been done in the first year. It's why many Canadian opt to go to Mexico too. Personally I don't regret the waiting time but I regret that after I saw my surgeon he told me not to diet or anything so I didn't try to lose weight on my own during the first year and I went to calorie counting last year. I do think any weight you can lose pre-surgery is great -
I am in Canada and I had 3 years wait BEFORE meeting with a surgeon, after approved I had a 2 years wait. So you aren't alone with the long waiting time c: I just had my surgery 6 weeks ago. Take your time to research and slowly change your eating habit as if you had the surgery already c:

Waiting is the worst part
Keira Fae replied to Elizabeth 06388's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I understand the torture of waiting. I waited 3 years before I could see a doctor and 2 years after to get surgery. It was a relief to start the liquid diet even if mine was longer then the usual (4 weeks) and had an extra 5 week due to some problems they had on my first appointed day. those 9 weeks were long. ... 9 weeks of hell. At least after surgery my surgeon make us only do 4 days of liquid, after it's mashed and pretty quickly semi-solid It really feels like your life is on hold. Good luck!
