Ugh sounds like you're having a difficult time. I'm so sorry. I experienced "the foamies" for the first time the other night and it was awful. They suggested I might have a stricture developing but I'm still hopeful it's just that my tummy wasn't quite ready for fish and needs more time so I've went back to full liquids. If you aren't keeping fluids down, have they done an endoscopy to see if you have developed a stricture? If you have, please try not to worry, they can dilate it in a simple procedure so you don't experience these symptoms. Much love x

Guilty Pleasures - Your last meal
MsTipps replied to Marissa37's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had 2 food funerals before I started my preop diet. I had a dominoes pepperoni pizza with cheese stuffed crust and garlic and herb dip. The next night I had a rare steak in blue cheese sauce with seasonal veg, mashed potato with butter and onion rings followed by crème brulee with shortbread biscuit. I absolutely don't regret it. I enjoyed every mouthful and I know I will not be able to have these things again - certainly not in the quantities or the fat/sugar levels I had before. -
Can we talk about boobs and bras?
MsTipps replied to Real California April's topic in The Gals' Room
My boobs seem to be the first bit of me to shrink. It's super depressing. Right now I have boobs with no va-va-voom and a big fat belly!!! Think ginger Santa Claus! Ugh! Hope the rest of me catches up soon! -
Full liquid diet and pouch stretching
MsTipps replied to Nancy Geoghegan's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hi @BlueGirl1920 I felt the same until I tried to eat something that made me feel like crap last night. I know they did the surgery now for sure lol! Puree/soft food ages a if difference as the liquids just run trough xx -

Awww I stuck to my preop diet and didn't lose much at all. Hope I'm not doomed. Did have an easy op apart from a bad asthma attack and a reaction to the anaesthetic and was home after 1 day so it's not all bad x -
You're doing great! Xx

Yes I suppose it could be. It's not sore just a funny flittery feeling. It's not directly following meals but I guess the food will sit for a bit to digest before going anywhere x

Hey folks. Thanks for your messages. After 3.5 hours of walking around and puking it settled enough so I could sleep. It feels fine this morning but I plan to go back to liquids only for a few days as that was so horrid and I can't understand why it happened. there hasn't been a nasty toilet trip so I'm not sure wtf that was about but definitely don't fancy repeating it. @cheezeater foamies is when you're either dumping through eating too much, too quickly or something too high in fat/sugar. I think something must have got stuck in my pouch as I was eating low fat/sugar and hadn't eaten much. Your saliva etc has nowhere to go so it all froths up and comes back up in frothy/slimy mouthfuls and makes you vomit. I had loads of upper left quadrant pain. Very unpleasant and gross. Xx

Checked packaging - 3.1g fat and 3.2g carb - 105 calories per serving. I haven't managed quarter of it. It doesn't make sense. Hope it's not a stricture. So paranoid! X

How long does it usually take? I've been pacing about the house for 2 hours. Been majorly sick twice but the pain and foamies are still here. It's killing me x
-
Thanks - im pacing around my house. Nothing is helping. Can't really keep water down. Might call the doctor as I'm getting scared x

So having eaten 3 teaspoons of white fish in low fat parsley sauce, chewing at least 20 times and waiting a minute between bites, I now have crippling upper gi pain and am experiencing the foamies for the first and please god, the last time. What do I do? I feel a bit afraid! X

Great news. Sending healing thoughts x

I had bypass on 12th Jan and I get some mild soreness of my stomach. Doesn't seem related to eating/drinking. Just a regular ache so think it's just healing xx

Yes - I cook for my family too and I'm desperate to try some regularly! It's very tough. Only feels worth it when the scales are moving in the right direction.x

Aw he's in Jan bypass buddies too. This guy is on the prowl for w*nk bank material. He hasn't messaged me. I feel kind of left out. PMSL!! 😁 X

Hey if we're comparing... our ops were the same day and you've lost more than me xxx

I really fluctuate too - hormones have a big part to play. Just keep doing what you're doing by sticking to plan and it'll all work out sweetie. Every pound off is a step closer to goal and the slower you lose, the less chance of loose skin xxx

That's fabulous! X

I have always had a very sweet tooth but after my RNY, I'm finding things are too sweet. I had a weightwatchers apricot yoghurt and it was sickly by the time I got half way.... x
