    Calorie Count Apps

I use MyFitnessPal to keep track of what I eat and everything else under the sun. Unfortunately, if you eat less that 1100 calories, it won't calc because it says you are not eating enough. So, the question is, does anyone know of a better app to use to track food that doesn't make you feel bad that you are under the calorie count?

Thanks! They should look into a section for Bariatric people.

I've been using MyFitnessPal for quite a long time now. If you go into your settings -> goals, scroll down and under Nutrution Goals you can choose to update calorie goals. I've set mine to the top end of my post-op calorie range (800). I never get any notifications about not eating enough, etc. Try that and see if you like MFP after it's set how you need it :)

When I told my dr about my concerns with the scale not moving, he said to quit watching it. Even when it looks like you aren't losing, your body is shrinking as the cells try and catch up with the fat loss. I agree, it is true. My body is losing inches, even when the scale is stuck.

Rant that is looking for advice

I am guessing that you might work with at-risk teenagers. If I am wrong, hopefully this response will still be helpful. These girls have enough issues with self esteem and they don't need someone they see everyday reminding them that they don't fit the profile of a perfect body. Reminding them that no one does, won't mean a thing to them. Have any on them broached you on your weight loss journey? Do they see the changes before and after in your eating habits? exercise? If they do, then share some of what you have done, to possibly motivate them to make changes in their life, so they don't need surgery later. Let the parents know that you don't want to sabatage the working relationship you have with their daughters.
