Good Morning everyone...... I have gotten so much wonderful information from you all so far... Now.... the next thing.... I had my sleeve on July 22, 2019 and everything is going great.... except I am soooooooo tired of this liquid diet. I know..... I am trying to be patient. I feel good, no pain, lost 24 lbs since I started the liquid diet. No naseua or omiting, getting in all my protein and almost up to the amount of water I should be taking in each day. BUT. ...... is anyone suffering from unbelieveable tiredness and I actually have almost no energy unless I sit down and rest between activities. I had to sit down to brush my teeth the other day. lol. I truly feel like loss of calories might be just running me down. I have my first visit back to the surgeon on August 7th and then I should be put on puree foods, so I am thinking that will help this weakness. Could the rapid weightloss cause the weak feeling. Let me know what you think.

You are right... I only have 6 more days till I go back to the Dr for my post-op visit. Then I will be introduced to the puree stage. Looking forward to something other than liquids. Good news.... Down 23 lbs since the beginning of the two week liquid diet!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!! Thanks for your support .

Having had my sleeve this past Monday I have the same things happening. I have been able to get in my protein and fluids. I am just over liquid dining. I really am having a hard time with having to do the liquid diet for one more week. Ugh! My largest incision is still sore, but is not bad. All in all, I feel like I'm in great shape. Please keep me posted on how you are doing.

Issues with Pre-op diet
kathaleen revell replied to Matthew2045's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm just finishing my first week of pre-op. It is soooooo very hard. I am very hungry also. I had to go to two luncheons this week.. ugh... So hard, but I did it without caving. I am totally committed. My stomach feels so empty! Got on the scale today out of curiosity and I'm down 7 lbs. This is since last Monday. I'm ready for this!!!! -
I was just thinking, since I started the post surgery liquid diet Monday, I have been cold! Is it because of the diet or drop in calories, or am I starving to death? Lol .

Now we have the same surgery date!!!!! Let's keep in touch and share our adventure to the tool together. Do you start the liquid diet next week on the 8th? -
Thank you Sandra. Enjoy the Grandkids. Kate

I too am keeping up with 5 Grandchildren and I have a Great Grandchild due in November. Are you in the Charlotte area? If you are, Charlotte Newcomers has a walking group I'm going to join. The girls are really great.

Walking just 30 minutes to start will do the trick. Walk out your front door and in 15 minutes, walk back. It’s easy. You will see a difference.

Good morning ladies! I am going to be 70 years young on September 11th (I still am 19 in my head lol) and I have my surgery dat for July 22, 2019. I am so excited and also nervous and. All the other emotions that go with this life changing decision. I had both knees replaced 3 years ago, type-2 diabetes, Hbp, sleep apnea and I am looking forward with the weight loss to correct these problems. Best decision was having both my knees replaced, but the added weight hurts them. I also have a pinched nerve that I’m working on with PT and the weight loss will help tremendously with that issue. I retired to the Carolina ‘s three years ago and I’m ready for all the activities on my “retirement bucket list”. Also, I’m looking forward to dating once again as I am a widow now after 32 years of marriage. So lots ahead. I’m here if any of you older gals want to talk. It helps if we all share with each other..... it makes this process a lot easier.... Kate

kathaleen revell posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I’m so excited... I went for my last visit to the nutritionist today and after loosing 9 1/2lbs in the past two weeks I’ve been cleared and all the pre testing papers are being submitted for a surgery date. I can’t wait. Any idea how long this process takes? (Medicate/united Healthcare insurance). I’m so excited for this journey!!!!!!!
