    Exercise

You are doing great already, maybe you are more motivated than you think you are
  2. ^^^^^^^^^ Not a spam bot but definitely a bot! Was one yesterday with almost the same message but a different user name.

    Exercise

Start minimally if you have to and build up. Half a loop around the block is better than none. Five loops around the house and garden is better than none . An exercise bike is low impact on the knees and may be beneficial for you.
  4. It is not unusual to miss old eating habits but you need to replace them with other habits that occupy both your hands (mostly) and/or mind. Puzzles, going for a walk, soak in the bath, cleaning out cupboards, calling a friend or family member, knitting, arts or craft etc etc. ESG doesn't remove the part of the stomach that produces the hunger hormone, so you will need to deal with this by making sure you eating sufficient protein and high fibre foods (when you are able), and once you are able solid foods that help you feel restriction. You should be following your post op food guidelines, they are very important as you don't want to hinder the healing of the suture sites, otherwise your sutures will not be able to do there job, they will loosen. If you are really struggling touch base with your dietician or nutritionist, ask for some tips. If you need to, also consider a counsellor to help you deal with the old habits and any emotional eating you may have. I can't stress any of the above enough, I've seen as many ESG fail as there has been some success, you want and need to be on the side of success.

    Physiological evaluation

From what I have read some have to fill in questionnaires/profiles. They will probably talk about your past diet (& likely mental health) history etc, make sure you understand about the surgery - that you realise it isn't a magic tool, perhaps make sure you understand what you need to do following the sugery.
  6. When was surgery and how much are you eating?
  7. When was surgery and how much are you eating?
  8. I usually have four meals a day and pick from eggs, yopro yoghurt, protein shakes, milk, whatever I have in the freezer currently there is chicken and veg soup, meatloaf, chili con carne, savoury mince, spicy bean casserole. If I have had a low protein day but don't feel like a meal, I will have a small protein bar at the end of the day.
  9. 27lb in four weeks is not slow at all. It took me a while to tolerate scrambled egg, Now I eat one or two eggs most days, though I only use a sliver of butter to grease the pan.

    Sex drive

First step for anyone would be to visit their doctor, have their hormone levels checked plus other blood work.
  12. I tested positive after surgery (removed stomach was tested) in Mid March, bariatric surgeon wanted me to wait a little while before starting treatment. I started today - seven days (twice a day am and pm) of 2 x amoxil 500mg, 1 nexium 20mg and 1 x klacid 500mg.

    Unflavored Protein Powder

Thanks for the recommendation. Great that you found something that suits
  16. Your weight loss is not slow at all given your lower start weight. People have unrealistic expectations of bariatric weight loss based on what they may have seen on television or on forums, what they forget to do is account for their own personal circumstances: weight loss immediately prior to surgery, surgery day weight, age, gender, activity levels, medical conditions medication, hormones, fluid intake, calorie and protein intake etc etc etc

    First Post-Op Visit

I imagine in the first few weeks the surgeon is more concerned in how you are healing and tolerating food. If my first post-op appt, I don't recall being asked how much I had lost, it was too soon. Second follow up he asked my weight but didn't comment in general.

    Don't buy GNC products

I am not sure bariatricpal is the place for political statements but I will bite. As far as I can tell there products are currently manufactured in USA. Who owes the other 60% and where are the products going to be manufactured going forward?

    Suggestions on multi vitamins

I had chewables for the first month after surgery and went to normal vitamins after that. My dietician recommended sucking on the chewable ones if I found the taste too intense or awful. I did find them much better to tolerate when I sucked them rather than chewing them.

    Possible Bloodclot?

No I haven't experienced what you are going through. Have you been wearing the compression socks the hospital provided? if you don't have any would be worth buying some and wearing for a while once this issue has been resolved .

    Feeling no pain

You will know it as soon as you start progressing through the food stages particularly when you reach normal/solid foods. Even possibly by puree/soft foods.

    Can fruit cause dumping syndrome??

If I have something too sweet I do get a kind of the shakes for a little while. You could try a protein shake or two without the fruit and see how you go?
