  1. Happy 30th Birthday mrspersia!

  2. Im finally starting to be able to eat food again. Its been a long 2wks since by band has been removed but MAN,,,i thought i was never gonna be able to eat again. I have moved from full liquids to mushies...YAY!!! It feels really good not to be sick anymore..
  3. Hey smwww...If you are asking me why i had mine removed. It gave me problems off & on thru the years. I was never able to hold a fill and eventually it got to where i had to put myself on a liquid diet due to vomitting so much. I basically got sick of living that way. I hope that answers your question. I wish you luck with yours. Some people do really good with the band, i just wasnt one of them :-(
  4. Hi SElaine! Thank you so much for your response. I am still experiencing bad acid reflux and indigestion. Im only able to keep down protein drinks and crackers. Even with those 2 things im constantly burping afterwards, and it takes a few hours to digest it seems like. Its very refreshing to know you had the same problems for only a few wks and that you are feeling great now. What was your diet during those few weeks if you dont mind i ask? Thanks again for sharing your info.

Band removed two weeks now(feel great)

Hey margie. If you dont mind me asking, how long after your band was removed were you able to eat again? what was your diet like after removal? Im curious bc i just had mine removed 1wk ago due to similar problems.
  7. I started depending on phenergan to be able to eat without throwing up and eventually that stopped working for me. everything i would eat would make me have acid reflux and indigestion problems. I put myself on a liquad diet for 2 months just so i wouldnt throw up before they removed my band.

Wow! you story is amazing, i feel your pain. I had my band removed 6days ago because my body rejected it. 3months ago my doctor did the endoscopy and said everything looked fine. I still decided to have the band removed bc they had no other answers for me not being able to eat or drink without throwing up. Since its been gone im only able to drink protein drinks and maybe a few crackers a day but everything else doesnt sit well on my stomach. The doctors said everything looked fine in surgery and they have no solution to my problem . What is your opinion? Do you think my stomach will be forever altered? how long did it take your stomach to heal and you were able to eat real food after surgery? Thanks.
  9. I had it for 6yrs. So i gave it a fair chance to work for me before i had it remved.

Were is all my Chattanoogians at?

Hello everybody! I just had my band removed after suffering on & off for 6yrs. The band did help me loose weight but in return i gained health problems. I am 5 days debanded and im just trying to be patient and let my stomach heal back to normal. I still suffer from acid reflux and indigestion symptoms;therefore im still on a liquad diet. my biggest fear is that my stomach is altered forever, but i hopw not. I had my band put in and taken out by Dr. Rose at memorial hospital in chattanooga. If anyone has advice or words of wisdom....please share:smile:
