sinead replied to dgnzlz's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was sleeved 11/07/17 and I’m down 28lbs but I’m down 50lbs including pre op diet so far!! I’m a slow burner but I’m happy! As long as your losing something that’s good and I’ve hit a few stalls! Keep positive a lb is still a loss so happy days!! -
Where does everyone live? (General area)

Greetings from the Emerald Isle[emoji1132] -
I had my sleeve on Nov 7th and down 50lbs but 21lbs of that loss was with pre op diet. Every lb is a loss and don’t be discouraged. I’m happy with my weight loss so far as haven’t been able to do gym work and only started walking 2 weeks ago. Everybody is different. Don’t beat yourself up having the occasional treat as I have had but just be extra vigilant the next day. Just limit them as these treats got us into trouble in the first place![emoji3] Don’t be disheartened I am around the same weight as you and am upping the ante now to continue on this journey! Keep up the good work! You CAN and you Will do it!!

I was told I could by my surgeon and I’m 3 months out so at a party or function I would have a glass of red wine and sip! Not like before surgery where I could have loads!! Now the 1 glass is fine for me on special occasions

Well done with your weight loss! I was sleeved the day before you and have lost 49lbs to date. A bit slow but I’m happy! It’s a great feeling to see the weight coming off and the health benefits of same! Keep up the good work!

9 MONTHS POST OP- A REALIST VIEW OF THE JOURNEY
sinead replied to a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thanks for your honest approach. I’m 3 months out and have lost 49Ibs but that includes pre op diet. I have lost 14lbs between month1 and month 3 post op and my doc is underwhelmed but I’m happy as haven’t exercised due to knee injury. I’ve also had some cheat days but back on track to lose more! Keep up the good work and I hope to God I will see more pounds fall off!!![emoji3] -
I was sleeved Nov 7 and down 49lbs including pre op loss! I have had issues as well with my knee so exercise is limited. Hopefully I will up the ante now as my weight loss has stalled!
-
I was sleeved November 7 and I’m down 49lbs including pre op diet loss so you are doing better than me!! Every Ib list is good!!! Keep up the good work!! My starting weight was 233lbs and I’m now 184lbs!

I am almost 3 months post surgery and have stopped using the cpap as it made me so dehydrated and I kept getting eye infections from the air leaking out! I was using a full mask but even with mask covers it kept marking my face really badly. I have lost almost 50 lbs including pre op loss and feel I don’t need it but specialist wants me to go back for another consult!!

4 weeks not losing weight
sinead replied to Cindy757's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 4 weeks post op too and the scales stay the same but I can feel the weight loss in my clothes!! I wouldn’t worry about it too much as many people on this forum have said to expect a stall 3 to 4 weeks post op! Good luck with it and hopefully the scales will move in our favour again!! -

How much protein should you be eating daily? I’m one month post op sleeve surgery -
Isn’t it amazing how different advice is from surgeons!!! I have lost 24lbs but most of that was from pre op!! Hope you are doing well too!

Sleeved 11/07. On soft foods. On a stall with weight loss. But otherwise in good health. Still sore getting out of bed and can’t wait to go back driving as suffering from cabin fever!!! Don’t see the scale moving down but have noticed the weight loss in my clothes!

Trying to plan ahead (Holiday with in laws)
sinead replied to confusedturtle3's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I’m three weeks out of surgery and I’m allowed 2 crackers with low fat spreadable cheese or nut butter as a snack. When I dine out I try soup or fish with vegetables. Have a great Christmas [emoji319] -
Dry Skin After Skin

I’m 2 weeks and 1 day post op so I’m allowed soft food thank God! I got allergic reaction to the surgical plasters they used and came out in blisters and was really itchy!! I’ve noticed such a change in my skin as it’s so dry that I find body oil a lifesaver!! Try it and see how you get on! -

I use a body oil which helps me! -
Thank you so much!! Will try a good walk today

I am walking a little bit no way near the miles I see people walking on this forum. Hopefully it will get better. My tongue is all white probably from a bit of dehydration!

I was sleeved on 11/07/17 and I’m very weak and nauseous. I haven’t been able to walk yet. Is this normal?

I hit 25lbs today!!!

Well done! -
What did you guys eat at 6 weeks including snacks.
sinead replied to Jeanette95's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I’m one week out too. I’m finding it hard to drink cubitan which I have to take 3 times a day plus reminding myself to drink water. It’s tough but I’m optimistic. Haven’t done any exercise yet as too weak. How about you? -
Anyone out there still wear their binder?

I’ve had my sleeve 1 week ago today. I haven’t walked yet as still very sore, weak and nauseous. I’m worried as everyone is walking and I’m not able yet. Finding it hard to get in protein.[emoji22] -
It’s hard keep trying to sip water and move when you start to cramp. Hang in there.
