    One month stall

Are you at a weight that you were stuck at previously in your life? Some of us have had weights we were at for months or even years, thatโ€™s why many of us have closets full of two or three....or even more sizes of clothing. If this is the case for you, you may be fighting through a stall that includes one of your previous set points and I feel like that takes a bit more patience to get through. If this is not the case try changing something. Are you eating the same things every day? Are you eating the same amount of calories? Try eating a bit more one day then less the next. Maybe try intermittent fasting for a week. Try some new exercises if you are doing the same ones. All of this considering though, the body will stall out during weight loss for 90 percent of us. It is so discouraging when it is happening, and we all understand that! Remember too as you get closer to your goal weight, it will become harder to lose weight. Try to remain positive, focus on what you are doing to improve your health each day right now rather than how disappointing it is that the scale isnโ€™t moving. If you continue to follow your plan, the stall will eventually break when YOUR body is ready!

GALS who started their journey over 300 lb+<br /> +

The top two pics are after losing just over 175 pounds. High weight: 389 Surgery Weight: 369 Current weight: 208......soooooo closeeeeee! Bmi 55-29! I have gone from a size 28 and 4xl to a size 14 and a large in tops. Almost a 12. I cannot believe it. I love coming and seeing what we have accomplished. It can be so overwhelming to think of how far we have to go in our journeys but the time is going to pass by. If an effort is made, your effort WILL show. I did not exercise every day. I did not drink five gallons of water a day. I did not remain strict every single day. But I did my best, and I did better this year than ever before. We donโ€™t have to be perfect to see changes. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season!

    Trying not to

Sounds like water retention from the exercise. Do not panic, it will go away. Watch the sodium intake and keep up on the great work! ๐Ÿ™Œ

    Post op clothing

I second Old Navy. Always tons of clothes for dirt cheap. As a matter of fact, I can get things at old navy cheaper than our insanely overpriced goodwill store. I dreaded shopping for clothes when I was plus size but now that I have more options, it is much more enjoyable. Maybe you will learn to enjoy it too. When my clothes look nice and fit well, I feel better about myself.
  5. Are you allowed yogurt on your full liquid diet?
  6. Thatโ€™s awesome! Wishing you the best on the next part of your journey to your next big milestone! ๐Ÿ™Œ

    My Birthday

Why not have a small piece of something on a special occasion? I think itโ€™s unrealistic to think of certain foods as โ€œneverโ€ foods. Should you justify eating whatever you want for a whole weekend because itโ€™s your birthday? Probably not. Is enjoying one small dessert item throwing you down the worm hole back into an endless spiral of weight gain? Likely no. Happy Birthday and Enjoy.
  8. Iโ€™m a bit over a year post op now. No regrets. Of course I was lucky in that I had no complications so that makes it a whole lot easier. I have lost over 175 pounds and gone from wearing a size 28/30 and 4xl in clothing to a size 14 in pants and a large top. There just is no denying that how people treat you is different when you are not morbidly obese, and how you move in this world is so different too. Best of luck to you and all others with their upcoming surgeries!

100 lbs in under a year?

Just keep in mind there is a big difference between someone that has 200 pounds to lose and someone that has 100 pounds to lose. The larger the start weight the quicker it will seem to come off in the beginning. The last 20-30 pounds seem to be the worst for all of us no matter where we started ๐Ÿ˜‚. I thought I was losing slowly but itโ€™s average. Iโ€™m losing rapidly comparing myself to my own past attempts. And Iโ€™m pleased with that!
  10. Unbelievable work! Congratulations to you!

Youโ€™ll be happy to have this later. I wish I had a solid before photo of myself.

    3 days pot op RNY

Teenagers suck. Donโ€™t worry, it gets better. One day at a time it slowly improves and then POOF a year has gone by! ๐Ÿค—

    Weight gain

But what ARE you eating now? You can start with 3-4 ounces of lean protein followed by veggies to fill you up. If you are gaining weight though you need to evaluate what you are eating that needs to change. If you are not ready to do that and make the changes? Have you reached out to your team?

    Weight gain

Some regain is considered normal. Take a hard and unbiased look at your diet. What has changed? Are you eating more now? Are you tracking your meals? Are you exercising? Have some junk foods creeped back into your life in the years since your surgery? Are you eating and drinking at the same time? It is normal to be able to eat more this far out from surgery but many times if people examine their diet there are some habits that have crept back in. We are here to support you!

    The Cookie Incident

Thank you for sharing. Most of us are not perfect. I eat according to my plan the majority of the time but sometimes I do veer off track in the moment. I canโ€™t imagine having to be around that stuff all the time at home, I could not do it! Iโ€™m the same, I do better if I can portion out a special treat somewhere else rather than have tempting items in my home. Iโ€™ve always been that way. ๐Ÿค—

When did you go back to work?

Six weeks for me, but I have a physically demanding job and had to be cleared to be off of weight restrictions to return. Take as long as financially feasible given your situation is my advice.

Stopped losing weight after week ONE?

Youโ€™re not doing anything wrong. It is normal. Stay the course.

    Life without NSAIDS?

They do have IUD that contain progestin, if you already have an IUD maybe this is an option? Copper IUD can make cramps worse in women that already have bad cramps.

    Syntrax Nectars

A blender is best. If you have the bottle with the shaker ball inside, itโ€™s a step up from a fork or spoon though and less of an investment if you do not currently own a blender.

    Life without NSAIDS?

You will need to have an alternative solution. If possible, birth control of a hormonal type is most useful when it comes to difficult periods. I would work this out now, before your surgery. I have horrible cramps, and only ibuprofen would help mine as well. I did not plan for this ahead of time and itโ€™s been a struggle. Theres a huge list of meds my surgeon gave me Iโ€™m never supposed to take. I was aware of a few of them, but some of them were surprising.

    How did it go? ๐Ÿ˜€

    Appetite

Yes. It doesnโ€™t bother me either. Unfortunately the onus is on us to follow a proper diet and exercise to continue to lose weight. Just like before surgery. The good news is after losing a large amount of weight itโ€™s easier to stay on track.
