I cannot believe that Ace and Lisa were in the bottom 3 and Chicken Little wasn't. That makes the show out to be a joke in my opinion. Kevin has no business in the final 11. I think the judges are making him out to be something he is not. It's weird, it's almost like there is some ulterior motive going on behind the scenes with this kid. :faint: I wasn't suprised about Melissa... she knew she was going too. I just cannot get over the fact that Kevin is still in it! He reminds me of the lead in a bad high school play!! Go Chris! :hat:

One more thought. I'm so tired of Ryan picking on Kelly and making her look stupid. I mean the girl does have the Jessica Simpson dumbness going on but give it a rest already! At least Kelly is honest.... thats why people like her! Last night when she was talking about her fake eyelashes I about died. She's a funny girl!

Hello Idol fans! I can sum up last night in one word. BORING!! :faint: I am so sick of Stevie Wonder songs I could puke. The only 2 that stood out for me were Taylor and Chris. Everyone sounded the same.... singing the same ole boring songs. My predictions for tonight.... it's either gonna be Kevin or Melissa. See ya... siyanara (sp?). Based on what I've seen so far.... the final 2 will be Mandisa and Chris. Looking forward to tonight!!

I've been walking around work all day asking people if the watch The Sopranos. NO ONE DOES!! WTF? I'm glad I have my peeps here who watch!! I was thinking the same thing about Carm's house not being any further along after 2 years. AJ's hair looks terrible. My husband loved Meadow's little dance for Fin though. Someday I might look half that good!

I also was suprised that Kevin didn't go home. Guess he does have the "granny vote" as Simon says. I don't think he belongs in the final 12 at all. He is nowhere near the caliber of the other guys. As much as I was unimpressed with Gedeon I think he was better than Kevin! As for the girls.... I thought for sure it would be Melissa and Kinnik. I was suprised about Ayla... but I knew she would go soon, she wasn't that great. I think the final 2 boys will be Chris and Taylor. The girls are harder. I like Katherine, Mandisa, Kelly, Paris and Lisa. It's going to be so hard!! Bo Bice was great last night. It's nice to see him making it!

Pueblo is also a 4 hour drive for me. Maybe next time! Hope you have a good trip though!

Thanks Archermom. There is also a new practice in Thornton that is starting to do the bands too. I will definatley check Dr Snyder out. I went to his website and it looks like he knows what he is doing! Where does he do his surgeries at? And I'm assuming he does them outpatient, right? Thanks for the info!

I am so happy that Brenna is gone!!! She was even annoying when Ryan was telling her goodbye... talking about all the money she could make. Tacky! I was really suprised that Sway was voted off so soon. I thought he was pretty good. I am looking forward to next week!!

FYI... when I met with Dr Kirshenbaum in January he told me he had done 8 bands so far.

Elliot was great last night. I think he will go to the finals but I doubt if he will win it. It was a night and day difference is the boys from the girls this week. The boys rule!

Ahhhhhhh Chris. He was awesome last night. His voice and his presence blew me away. He is for sure my fave. Ace is just pretty boy fluff in my opinion (not that he isn't nice to look at). I'm surprised that that cutie Kevin is still around honestly. He does have a good voice but I don't think he is Idol material. Brenna just needs to go... and quickly. She is rude and arrogant and not the prize she thinks she is. Taylor reminds me a bit of Dave Mathews.... I love him!! Mandisa... wow! That girl is great! I love her self confidence and her sense of style. Wish I was that confident in myself! My guesses for tonight.... Brenna and Kinnik (sp?) and Kevin and Bobby Brady. Can't wait to watch!

Maybe I need to clarify my earlier post. I have NEVER been rude or made a comment to a fellow fat person. I was just being honest about the thoughts that go through my head. I can empathize with the pain we all feel. I think most of my initial distain comes from distain for myself and how I look and I first recognize that when looking at others. I am not judging or saying that I am better than anyone else. My first thoughts are "oh, that poor person, how terrible to have to go through life that way" then I catch a glimpse of myself in a mirror and think "holy crap! That's me! I AM that fat person I just felt pity for." Basically, we are all in this together and need to support each other and try to learn to love ourselves. Peace.

I have read through this thread and find this an interesting topic. I admit, I am guilty of "looking down" on a person that is fatter than me and needing to feel superior. I'm sure there are other people who look down on me as well. I find myself comparing myself to other fat people and asking my husband if I really look as gross as them. I have such a jacked up body image that I have no clue how big I really am. I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror sometimes and am like WHOA Nelly!! What the hell happened to me? I know this isn't PC or anything but I am being honest about how I feel. :omg:

Hi! I just found this forum today and it couldn't have happened at a better time. I met with a surgeon yesterday to talk about the band and the surgery ect. He answered all my questions but there is one I forgot to ask. Maybe someone here can help me. I know with gastric bypass there is usually a lot of loose skin left after the fast weight loss. Has anyone experienced that with the band?? Thanks in advance for your help!

I see. LOL That sounds disgusting! One thing I hate more than anything is puking. That's about all that freaks me out about banding. This is something I have been thinking about doing for a long time now. Just recently (Monday) I met with a doctor to discuss surgery, risks, expectations, etc. I am certain that I want to go ahead with the surgery. Now I just need to find the doctor that is best for me! I really liked the one I met with this week but I have a few different doctors in my area (Denver) so I am trying to check them all out. In the short time I have joined this forum I have learned so much from all of you. This is such a great place for support and everyone seems so helful and kind.
