I am being banded May 2 at 9am. I am feeling excitment and nervousness. I am excited to feel like I am "getting on with my life" and getting on track to a healthier life. I am nervous about surgery, side affects and the band just plain ole not working for me. My husband is very supportive and excited for me to have the band. He's seen me spiral out of control the past couple of years with my eating and lack of energy. I don't ever want to do anything.... just easier to sit around the house. I just feel gross. I'm looking forward to feeling better about myself as I see some changes in the mirror. Let's all join together May bandsters and support each other!

I just don't buy the dumb blonde routine. It just seems a bit forced. After reading about her on votefortheworst.com I don't believe her act. I know I shouldn't believe everything I read but it just confirmed the weirdness I already felt from her. She has a nice voice.... but I certainly don't think she's going to win the competition.

I hope this series gets better in a hurry! I miss the old episodes where you never knew what was going to happen next and you were suprised everytime.

The fact that Kellie has an awesome bod has nothing to do with the fact that she is annoying.

Much like last week I thought last night stunk. The theme kinda sucked but I hoped the contestants would at least pick some decent songs! Even my boy Chris wasn't so hot. I think the best for me last night was Bucky! It's hard to say who will be in the bottom three tonight. I think it will be Bucky, Ace and Elliot. I'm probably wrong though!

Hi Kelli!! I am also in Colorado and just scheduled my surgery for May 2 with Dr Kirshenbaum! Where in CO are you? I am just north of Denver. Good luck to you! It's nice to see someone else from my neck of the woods on here! :clap2:

I found the pain to be a bit worse than I expected. I was totally out of comission for 2 weeks. I had some pain up until about 3 months post op then it pretty much stopped. Even now, 4 years later, I still get weird phantom type pains in the places that I have no feeling. It's like a deep down ache but usually goes away with some Aleve. Hope this helps~

We had a horrible cat that pee'd in my closet and then ran away. The only thing that got rid of the smell was using an ozonator (sp?) It's an air purifier that is awesome! I am super sensitive to smells and I love that my house always smells clean when I have it on!

Just found out that we got our loan for my surgery! Looks like I will be right on target for a May date. I am so excited!

Thanks everyone! It's nice to have support from those going through the same things. As excited as I am, I have some fears about the surgery. I had a breast reduction 4 years ago and healing from that was tough. My scars are horrible and didn't seem like they would ever heal. My husband calls me the "walking side effect waiting to happen". I'm hoping that's not the case this time! My BMI is currently 42 and I feel like I'm going to be harpooned if I even think about getting into a swimsuit! I hope to eventually lose 100 pounds. My husband is behind me 500% so I'm very lucky there! We are planning on adopting a couple of kiddos this year but I want to get banded before that happens. I want to be able to have the energy and health to keep up with my kids! So until that happens... this is me.... :hungry:

Next week's theme is COUNTRY? WTF? If I wanted that I would watch Nashville Star! :faint: I was very surprised that Katherine was in the bottom two let alone the bottom 3. I was so sure that it would be Bucky. Hopefully next week Ace goes!

I agree. Last night sucked the big banana. Even my boy Chris wasn't anything special. What a weird night. You would think with the 6 years of song options they could have picked they all would have come up with something better. I felt sorry for Lisa. Kelly Clarkson she is not! Ace was just creepy. :help: Chris was a bit much for Idol... (still love him though!) Kellie.... Wow. What a dumb song. Mandisa... you go girl... but ummm... I didn't get it last night. :bandit Taylor... Would love to hear him do some Dave Mathews! :clap2: Paris was the best of the night we thought. My hubby commented that he shoudln't think she was so hot since she was only 17. Dirty old man! Katherine was just so-so for me. Pretty boring. :bored Elliot was okay... nothing special. :faint: Bucky did a decent job. At least he was being true to who he is. Overall, it was very BORING. I would have changed the channel but I kept hoping it would get better. It did not! My picks for the bottom three... Lisa, Bucky and Ace. I tihnk Lisa will be going home.

Last night's episode was a little better than last week. At least there was some action going on besides Tony's dream sequence. Paulie is a mess! That guy.... ever since he killed the old lady and stole her money I have lost respect for him. Then for he and Vito to be talking about cutting Carm out of the latest take was just despicible (sp?). No honor among thieves, eh? Vito hitting on poor Fin was pretty funny. If the rest of the guys only knew about him! I'm guessing it wouldn't go over too well. I was glad that Tony finally woke up... knew it was going to happen eventually. I guess all in all the episode was just okay for me (to quote Randy Jackson).

About freakin' time Kevin is gone! Nice kid... but he had no business in that competition in the first place. My husband and I actually cheered out loud when Ryan said Kevin was going home. Chicken Little shouldn't be hurting for a date anytime soon! Bucky and Lisa better step up their game next week or one of them is next! Did you hear the screams for Chris?? Yeah baby! :rockon:

My DH and I joke about Paula and how she gushes over the guys giving her goosebumps.... that they will be next in line in her dressing room! We joke that we need to make a drinking game out of listening to her comments... everytime she says someone looks "stunning" or "adorable" you do a shot! She has been very weird the past couple of weeks. Her and Simon's bickering gets annoying. Paula acts like a little kid who can't get her way when he dosen't agree with her. It gets old!

My picks for tonight's bottom three: Kevin Bucky Lisa Mandisa kicked some serious booty! That girl has it. :clap2: Chris... was.... ohhh.... WOW! He is so sexy... and that voice!! :eek: Paris... all I could think of was how Mandisa would have done "Fever". :bored Bucky.... not good at all. :faint: Katherine... that girl "brought it"! Lisa... I wasn't too excited about last night's episode either. I hope they don't drag that out too long. Scary about AJ promising to put a bullet in Uncle Joon though! You just had to know that Janice was going to make a huge scene at the hospital being the drama queen that she is. People magazine last week reviewed the show and they said the second and third episodes kind of drag out the same storyline and overkill it a bit. I hope it dosen't go on too long. I need my Tony back as the powerful man he is!

I had a reduction 4 years ago. I didn't know really what to expect going in as far as sensation and stuff after surgery. My doc told me there was a good chance there would be no change in sensation. My nipples are still fairly sensitive but I have several areas on my breasts where I have hypersenstivity or no feeling at all. I am also more scarred than average. I had an allergic reaction to the vycril sutures which caused heavier scarring. Overall though I would do it again. I lost 6 pounds of boob alone! As soon as I was able to sit up and stand after surgery my back immediatley felt better. Now I have the problem of my belly being bigger than my girls. Hope to change that soon with the band! :biggrin1:
