I am local to Dr K. In fact, I only work about 15 minutes from his office so I can run over on my lunch break for a fill! I was concerned that he had done so few bands as well but he has been doing complicated laproscopic surgeries for years so I felt I was in good hands. Turns out I was right!

I was banded on a Tuesday and went back to work the following Monday with no problems. Good luck to you!

Help!! We are finally having our "annual" Halloween party again this year and I can't come up with a costume. Last year I was the fat tattoo'd bearded lady from the circus.... doesn't fit so much this year. LOL. I was wanting to be a pin-up girl but haven't lost enough weight for THAT costume yet... hopefully next year. Any ideas? Pics of past costumes would be great also!

I have had a pretty severe pain in my left side for a few days now that seems to get worse after I eat. We were at the mall yesterday and I thought I was going to die it hurt so bad! It hurt about 5 minutes after I was done eating for about an hour then the pain changed to a dull ache. When it is at it's worst it feels like a hot poker being stuck into my side. Could this be my gallbladder?? Anyone felt like this before?? Thanks in advance for your input!

I didn't realize I collected anything until right now! I have a huge assortment of Fiestaware and I don't use it nearly enough! We also collect flamingo's (well my DH does) and are really into art deco stuff. I also have a Christmas Dept. 56 village that I seem to add a piece to every year. In our basement we collect 50's kitsch (sp?) and since we have 3 acres my FIL seems to be collecting buses! Wish they would go live at his house!

It is on the left side right about my waist line. I was just guessing when I thought it might be my gallbladder. It was so bad my hubby called my mom to see what side my appendix was on. LOL!

GOOD NEWS! Just got off the phone with my doc. I am scheduled for a fill under flouro on Oct 9th! He has negotitated a reduced fee with the surgery center and it will only cost me $89 if I pay the same day! Awesome! Now I can finally find out where I'm leaking and get this band rockin'!

I have been banded for over 4 months now and am able to eat pretty much anything. I am looking for new ideas for dinners to make for myself and my hubby. He dosen't need to lose any weight but needs high Protein and low fat so I need recipes that can meet both of our needs. Since it is only the two of us I have had a hard time with making way too much food for us since I've been banded. I guess I'm still in the old habits from when I was eating like a horse! Does anyone have any ideas? Any recipes you couldn't live without? Know any good websites you could point me to? Peace.

You were banded in May and are filled to capacity already? WOW! Do you have restriction? What does the doc say he will do if you lose restriction?

Hey my May peeps! Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. I am still hanging on over here. My weight this morning was still 233 so I haven't lost any since last week but I also haven't gained! Hubby is out of the hospital so I'm planning on hitting the gym again hard this week and getting back on track with that. Good news though! I am wearing size 18 pants today and they are comfy!! Yeah!!
