I am having my port and tubing replaced in a couple of weeks due to a leak in my tubing. The leak could be from a defect in the tubing or because it was punctured with a needle when my doc was trying to find my port. Won't know for sure until Inamed examines the tubing after it is removed. It is possible. Peace.

I have a 99 Jeep Cherokee and I get about 17-19 MPG. It is only driven on my commute to work and it is all highway driving. It sucks!! (literally!)

Yeah Heather!!! Drcollier... there are several methods that docs use to give fills, just depends on the doc. Some use ultrasound to locate your port, some feel for it and some use flouro. I tihnk flouro is the xray you are referring to. I think flouro gives the most accurate results but I would never use it unless there was a problem. Just seems like a waste of money to me.... but that's just my opinion.

I scheduled my port replacement surgery! November 2 at 3pm! It's a Thursday so I am just going to take Thursday and Friday off and come back to work on Monday. I can't wait to get this band rockin'! Peace!

I don't know that I have any advice but can certainly sympathize. I was diagnosed today with a leak in my tubing. I am probably going in soon to have the tubing and port replaced. My only advice would be to get a fill done under flouro with contrast so they can see if you are in fact leaking and where from. Feel free to PM me if I can do anything for you! Peace.

The replacement will be under general anthesia and out-patient just like my original surgery.

Wow OU! You look amazing!! Congrats on the 100lb loss, I am very jealous! Well I'm back from my flouro. Looks like I am leaking in the tubing about an inch and a half above my port. I will have to have the port replaced. Dammit!! I am very thankful however that it was my tubing leaking and not the band itself! The flouro was very cool... amazing to see all that stuff inside of me! My band placement is perfect and my port looks great. Hope everyone has a great day! Peace.

Hey Maysters! Well today is the day. I get my flouro done in an hour and will finally know what the fluck is up with my band. I have not been able to have anything by mouth for 4 hours prior so I am thirsty! Wish me luck and I will let you know what I find out! Peace.

PB=Productive burp. Basically vomiting from what I understand but without the stomach acid burn. Not something you want to strive for! MY doc says prolonged PB'ing can cause band slippage. I've never done it and would liek to keep it that way! I think If you search the main board there is a sticky of abbreviations. That should help you out!

Eat more solid Protein and that should help tide you over longer. Turkey, cheese, Protein Bars, meat, ect. Refried Beans work for me too. I hope this helps!
