I think it's very common for restriction to "disappear" suddenly. As you lose weight the fat pad around your stomach gets smaller, hence the band is looser. Can you call your doc for a fill?
-
I can only eat deli turkey if I get the cheaper, moister turkey directly from the deli. Never had a problem with roast beef though... maybe try that?
-
I had my first fill at 4 weeks. Different docs have different ways of thinking I suppose!

I guess I'm in the miniority here but from reading your post your friend doesn't sound "ignorant" she sounds concerned for you. I think addiction transference is a very real thing and I read the article in People myself. I didn't find it to make sweeping generalizations about all WLS patients suddenly having a new addiction. Maybe there was more to your conversation than you posted, by from where I sit (and read) it sounds like she was concerned for her friend. Just my opinion.

The Cherry Creek Mall is very high end and is VERY safe all the time. They have security roaming around at all hours. What kind of shopping are you looking to do?? As far as the sun... wish I was the bearer of better news. We are supposed to get a foot of snow in the metro area tomorrow and another storm is coming through on Sunday. I am soooo freakin' sick of snow!! -
Welcome! I had a friend in high school (American) that moved to Singapore with her family when her dad got transfered there with his job. Sounds like an amazing place! Good luck to you!

I know Kirsten. The Dr K bandwagon is growing fast! I went to the support group meeting last night and there were probably about 10 ladies there. A few more and they are going to have to relocate the meetings to somewhere bigger! -
Welcome Jen and good luck tomorrow! Post soon and let us know how you are!

Do You Guys Stand Up To Eat and Drink?
DrewsLou replied to Bawilliams1's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I think you should try sitting at the table and eating. I think you will notice a big difference in the ammount of food you are about to consume at a time. You are doing yourself a disservice by not letting your band work for you! Good luck! -
I might just start voting for Sanjaya. The show has become a joke anyway.... why not watch it go down in flames??

Lookin' good Neal!

hey jabell! I also did Atkins as my pre-op diet. I stuck to the induction phase and took in no more than 20 carbs a day. I think I am going to make it to the support group meeting tonight. Anyone else???? -

Sounds like you are all getting so close to surgery day!!! I wanted to try and answer a few questions I have seen posted here... My day of surgery I wore a velour track suit that zipped and crocs. Sexy huh?? I found the drawstring waist to be comfy and the jacket was super easy to get into after I woke up. :notagree The before surgery suppository.... some do it, some don't. I didn't and didn't have any problems. I am so excited for all of you!! As I come up on my bandiversary I can remember the excitment and anticipation I felt before my big day. I wouldn't change it for the world! As of today I am down 75 pounds (6 away from onderland) and 35 away from my "goal" of 170. Holy crap!! :) :)                    -
March already?? Where has it all gone? We are now heading into 10 months if banding and I see some of us have reached goal already! Congrats Neal! You rock dude!! I am now officially down 72 pounds. 208! 9 more pounds to onderland. March is going to be good to me.... I can feel it! Last May I was wearing size 22 pants and 3x tops. Today I am wearing size 16 skinny fit cords from Old Navy and a size XL top. The cords are being held up by a belt and this may be one of the last times I am able to wear them I am afraid. I do have some 14's that I can fit into very comfortably now! I am wearing a bunch of my hubbys sweaters and jackets as all of mine are huge on me now. Men's L fits me great! I have been struggling the past week or so with life in general. As some of you know I injured my knee almost 4 weeks ago at derby practice. That has really kept me down. I haven't been able to practice or do much of any form of excercise. I had planned on getting into the gym starting last week and working on the stationary bike and doing some strengthening on my knees but I cam down with a terrible flu bug that wiped me out for a whole weel. I missed most of the week from work and barley had enough energy to make it to the bathroom from bed and back. My eating has slowed considerably to the point my hubby is concerned that I am not getting in enough calories. I have appeased him by adding a Protein drink to my daily diet and I admit, it makes me feel better. I am going to see my ortho doc today about my knee and hope to be back on skates next week. I think that alone will greatly improve my general well being. I will get some new pics posted ASAP!!! Peace.

Sorry that I'm slacking... I've been sick. Off to make an April thread!

Is there any way to take the off topic forums off of the main page? I mean... when I click "new posts" most of what comes up for me lately is Rant & Raves and not actual lapband support kind of posts. I hope this makes sense. I know I have read several posts from new members and old alike who feel frusterated (sp?) by the amount of off topic threads they have to sift through to get to what they need. I look forward to hearing your responses! Thanks.

Hey LBT friends! I need to pick your creative little brains. I need to come up with an original name for myself for roller derby. There is a master list of registered names so I will be able to check and see if something is already taken. I am kinda a punk rock girl and I want my name to reflect that. I want something that sounds tough and mean but not too butchy... does that make sense?? :heh: Prize to the person who comes up with the best name! :help: Peace.
