I agree correct answers are important. That’s why she should ask her surgeon. And, various surgeons may have various answers. My surgeon told me the information so I shared it. And yes WATER is absorbed quickly and water not absorbed moves through the digestive track. Too much water may cause toxification-rare but possible. But we are not talking about pure water in the question. Egg drop soup has solid food particles and the “soup” is the liquid membrane of an egg. But I have no desire to mince words about it or compare your MBA to my PhD or elaborate on my 10 years of Air Force service. Not sure why you felt that necessary. I will follow my doctor’s instructions, you follow yours. I’m done here.

Liquid has volume and weight and can expand the stomach. The thicker the liquid the longer it will take to sieve through a swollen, newly stapled stomach. Put a small hole in a balloon and fill it with water-it will expand if the filled to quickly. True, liquid moves through the system faster than food, it is not true that if a liquid is consumed too fast that it does not effect the pouch. We can’t escape physics.

64 oz. in small sips all day! Gotta stay hydrated. But it doesn’t have to be strictly water. You can added protein drink mixes, crystal light, broth or etc. The water is in there. Just stay away from sugary drinks and NO CARBONATED DRINKS. -
HELP WITH LIQUID ONLY STAGE
13Challenger replied to Meguone's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have had the same experience. My doc is pushing the protein thing. Having trouble reaching the 90 grams a day. I feel malnourished and weak often. You should be able to get protein additives for your liquids. The shakes seem to be too filling but the protein lemonades, juices, popsicles, and jellos help. I must say, I am feeling well this morning. Got close to protein requirements yesterday. Seems to be the key-calories don’t seem to have an impact. Take vitamins, add protein, sip and move. -
OCTOBER SLEEVERS CHECK IN HERE
13Challenger replied to RomAnca's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sleeved 10/30. Had a fall first night. I hallucinated that I had help getting up to go to the bathroom wound up up passing out. Other than that, had minor to moderate pain. I’m a week out now, getting bored with liquids. Had some moderate heartburn discomfort drinking liquids over the weekend. According to my research that was probably the peak of the swelling. It is sometimes uncomfortable to wear a bra. A flight of stairs takes my breath away and sends my heart rate up to 140. I’ve had the sweats and some dizziness. I feel malnourished. Overall, everything seems to be going well. I’m back at work. Sitting up at my desk seems to be more comfortable than sitting on couch or laying in bed. Struggling to get hydrated and protein.
