    Today Makes 14 Weeks

Hi there...I went to Hopkins and my insurance didn't cover it. There was only one doctor that did the procedure when I had mine last November. I haven't regretted it for one second. I'm down 64 pounds, exercise regularly and manage my portions.

Hi Hope4momof4, How are things going for you? I'm now down 50 pounds. I exercise at 4-5 times a week - either walking 4-5 miles or a workout class. I don't really have a set of foods that I always eat because I travel quite a bit and eat in restaurants. Here's a sample: For breakfast I may have slice of turkey bacon and an egg, or half bagel or smoothie. For lunch/dinner, I always eat off a saucer. Either small piece of chicken or fish, small serving of starch (rice, potatoes, pasta) and small serving of vegetables. I only drink unsweetened teas or water. I have a sweet treat once or twice a week. Let me know if you have any more questions. We're all in this together!
  3. Just wanted to share an update. Today makes 14 weeks since my procedure at John Hopkins and I'm down 45 pounds. I'm eating 2 - 3 small meals a day and exercising 3-4 times a week. I'm 35 pounds away from goal.
  4. Just wanted to give an update on my progress. This past Friday was 6 weeks since the procedure. I've been exercising 4-5 days a week and eating 3 small meals a day. I'm down 30 pounds. It's still challenging to get in 64 ozs of water a day but I'm working on it.
  5. I just wanted to give an update. It's been a week and I'm down 16 pounds. I finally got over the vomiting on day 3. I'm still not able to do more than 2 small meals a day and have yet to get all my water in. But overall I feel good and am glad the worst is behind me.
  6. The procedure went well but my recovery was awful. Vomiting every couple of hours the first 24 hours and then every 5 to 6 hours the next 24. Some severe cramping so hard to get comfortable and rest. No vomiting since I woke up today - hopefully the worst is over. My procedure was done at John Hopkins.
