Was anyone banded in December of '06?

Well Scorpio, First of all congrats on loosing 45lbs . That is good. We were banded on the same day. I am the same way I dont eat breakfast. Try a protien shake. I do find it hard to find meals that easily goes through the band. Try making things with eggs. The thing I love since I cannot have bread....you take any choice of lunch meat and wrap it with cheese. Those are awesome. . I know ice cream is hard to stay away from....I am guilty of having it too...try sherberts or low fat..... Watch your intake on food. Increase your protiens. And maybe you should return to your surgeon. He/She might be able to help you loose more weight. Keep in touch! Email if you want to kat1272@hotmail.com Katherine banded 12-11-06. Started at 322 lbs and current weight is 210lbs.

    I got an unfill today

Tiger I do not have issues with nausea. The only time I feel it is when I eat too fast or too much. So maybe that is part of your problem.

    I got an unfill today

I had my fourth fill yesterday my doctor's pa put in 2 cc's. And I did well yesterday able to drink and swollow without any issues. However I woke up at 2:30 am with gurlging noises and it didn't really hurt but it was a weird sensation. I finally after two hours got back to sleep. I got up and went to work tried to have my first coffee of the day and it came right back out. I was in pain, vomiting, and very weak. I spoke with the office staff ( they are wonderful) (since I work in the same building) and she immediately had the nurse call me she spoke with the doctor and the doctor sent his PA over to take a look at me. He removed 1 cc of the 2 cc that he placed yesterday. The whole time I was trying not to vomit. The second he removed the 1cc I felt the fluild filter through my band. As I sat up I had dizzy spells, light headness and shaking. He had the nurse take my blood pressure and it was low but ok. After having a protein shake I was back to 100%. My color was back and I felt normal. I am truely glad that my doctors staff took such great care of me. I guess what I want to get through to everyone is if you have any problems and you think it might be small call and find out do not suffer.
  5. Yes I live in coos bay and I was banded by Dr. T.

    OK Oregon, where are you?!?!?

I just love Dr. T....I am so glad I had it done. How are you doing with the weight loss? You haven't had any issues with the band? I have had none....I am getting a fill on the 14th. I am not sure why I haven't gone to the support group...which is dumb considering I live in town and I work in the building where they are held.
  7. Do you live in Coos Bay or were you just banded by Dr. T in Coos Bay?

    sholder pain after first fill

I never experienced the pain in the shoulder after a fill. The only time I notice a pain in my shoulder is when I have a vomitting episode. And it normally goes away in a few mins. I was banded 12/11/06. I cannot have bread/pasta/baked potatoes/rice...I gues anything that is heavy. And something that is weird if i eat potato chips I cannot have lays but I can eat ruffles. weird huh? I can however eat tortillas I wonder why you cannot eat those?
  10. yes my insurance paid....I have to fork out $750 out of pocket....$500 detutible and $ 250 of what the insurance wouldn't pay. I was lucky the surgeon wrote off his fee to insurance only so did the anestiologist and day surgery did as well. I am an employee where I had my surgery. I really lucked out!

  11. I am in the process of doing the oxygen lvel test to see if I need to take the sleep apnea test. This is my last hurdle before I get to see the doc.. Did you use insurance to pay?

  12. I had my surgery at North Bend Medical Center by Dr. Tersigni. Do you have any questions you can ask me if you want.

Was anyone banded in December of '06?

I was banded 12/11/06. I started out at 315 and now I am at 228. It was the best choice that I could have made. I am at a plateau....time for a fill which is monday.....I am excited summers coming and I would like to loose ten pounds by then. I hate that my gut it starting to sag.....ugh:cursing: But it is worth it in the end to have more energy and look and feel great!
  14. i have been banded since 12/11/06 that is my birthday....have you been banded? I have lost 91 lbs since then....but I have hit a huge plateau and I am headed in for a fill on the 14th.

  15. Hello, may I ask how long have you been banded? I have been banded for almost 6 months. I was wondering if I could chat with you and share some experiences to see if you have been going threw the same thing. Thanks.
