Fits* not fires haha! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm not a fan of fitbits... they're not accurate enough for me. I use polar watches. I think they're great and you can buy a band that you put on your chest during workouts, it fires under your clothes and I never even notice it's there. That's the most accurate way to get your heart rate, compared to your wrist. I like to work smarter, not harder. [emoji4] Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

So, I've been pretty vocal at work about me having wls. Mainly because people have been asking questions about me losing weight or avoiding certain foods. I don't see a reason to lie our withhold the truth. I'm not ashamed or embarrassed about it. I'm excited! Anyways, this lady at work keeps commenting on the way I eat now & what I eat. I had skinny popcorn ther other day & she's like "Should you really be eating that?" Then today she asked me how I could eat my lunch so quickly & that much food shouldn't be consumed so fast. I don't think I ate unreasonably fast & why are you paying attention to how fast I eat anyways??? All I know is if this lady doesn't get off my back, I'm going to snap. She's the only person I've had trouble with so far. If you were me, what would you do or say to this lady? Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

What were your sleep apnea results?
Sprinkles1 replied to chamomilelavender's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sorry to interrupt... but my doctor literally asked me if I had sleep apnea & I said no .. so I didn't need to do a test. Reading this post though is kind of scary. Would you know if you have sleep apnea without taking a test?? Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app -
I haven't even had the surgery and I feel like I'm failing already. I'm trying to eat healthy like my nutritionist said but it's not going so well... I'm constantly hungry. I have to lose 16lbs in 2 months to have my surgery, which isn't unreasonable at all... did anyone struggle before the surgery but was successful afterwards? Weight loss with kids in the house: A family story.
Sprinkles1 replied to Creekimp13's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Lmao!!! She sounds like my sister.. my sister is currently in pre-med Abe is working her way to become a doctor. She's very analytical and does crazy weird things too! Your daughter sounds like a lot of fun to be around & it seems like you have a great relationship with her! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app -

Thank you everyone! You kept me motivated throughout the rest of the day yesterday & this morning. It's so damn hard to stop letting food control me. I literally have to look at motivational quotes when I think of eating something that I'm not supposed to. I'm eating low carb and being a vegetarian... it's even less options, but worth it! Thanks again ♡♡♡ Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

Missing kidney after surgery
Sprinkles1 replied to EW11211's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
That explains why it's so much cheaper in Mexico! They'll just sell your organs on the black market!... lmao fake news. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app -
When did you go back to work after weight loss surgery?
Sprinkles1 replied to TexasMommy80's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My job is allowing me 6 weeks off, but only 5 of the weeks will be paid. I'll probably take all 6 weeks off because I want to start off strong and make good habits! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app -
Having breast implant fixed and I don't want my doctor to know about my Gastric Plication
Sprinkles1 replied to Laura1040's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Don't be embarrassed! Just pull her to the side and tell her you'd like it to be just between you two and not the whole office. Honestly, I tell everyone about me having gastric bypass in the near future. Idc whay anyone thinks. I'm so excited! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app -
You look great!!! Inspirational. Keep it up! [emoji1] Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

I'd like some opinions on this because maybe I'm just being too rash. I want to have wls ASAP, however, I already know my insurance is going to make me jump through hoops to get it and it can take 6+ months and there isn't even a guarantee that I'll get approved afterwards. Part of me just really wants to lose some weight on my own, learn more about the post op diet of gastric bypass, gather more info then head down to Mexico to get the procedure. I've honestly paid more in personal trainers and fad diets then the costs I've seen to have the procedure done out of the states. Just want opinions but would you... A.) Go through insurance and hope for the best or B.) Do self pay? I'm such an impatient person and the thought of waiting 6+ months is torture.

Chest pain isn't minor... honestly, since you're only two days away, I'd try to have some cream soup now. Two days difference won't be the end of the world. Maybe you'll notice a difference once you've had some soup. If you don't, I'd go to the doc asap tomorrow! During a fad juicing diet I was experiencing literally everything you said above, once I ate something other than drinking a juiced vegetable, it all went away.

*sorry, 1st post* So I'm wondering how long the process is for BCBS in order to get the surgery. Right now I have Cigna but next year my job is switching to BCBS. I asked the Doc & he said Cigna takes 4+ months but BCBS takes 2+ months. The checklist they gave me seems easy enough to get done. Do you have BCBS? How long did it take you to get your surgery? 2 months seems too easy. I don't want to get my hopes up. [emoji21] Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

I hope things get easier for you. Your feelings are justified but think of the bigger picture! You'll be able to do more than just eat. Food isn't everything. You got this! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

Good luck to you! I'm glad you're staying positive. Hopefully your husband becomes more supportive. I'd maybe seek counseling if not. We all need a support system! 2018 will be great!

So, I'm very open about having the surgery and talk to my friends all about it. Most people are encouraging! However, I do have a select few friends who aren't so encouraging. One friend, who is bigger than me, told me I don't need the surgery and to lose the weight all on my own. He should know that it isn't that easy! For a while even my own sister said it was the "easy way out"... she understands now but... is anyone else getting negativity? Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

Dang.... why would someone be jealous of something they claim they don't want?? Counseling, maybe? Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

Aww, I'm glad you guys understand! I just started the process and my hopes are super high even though I know I shouldn't put all of my eggs in one basket. I just can't wait until I'm able to do normal things like everyone else. I hope it goes well for you both! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
