  1. I start soft foods on Thursday this week (I see Dr H on Wednesday, along with nutrionist. Recommendation is to get protein & calories from food. I really struggle right now to get to 700 calories in a day, even eating every few hours. Average about 50-60 grams of protein. Since soft food says do about 1/4C at a time of whatever you're eating (up to 3/4 C total), plus two snacks,, I'm rather at a loss as to what they mean as snacks. Soft food suggestions would be appreciated. I feel good, and have hit almost 30 lb loss, so not complaining just a bit at sea.
  2. I'm currently on the puree'd foods. I am, as I think many of us are, very tired of whey protein. I can start on soft foods next Thursday. But things are going well. I am a bit more tired than I thought I would have been, but I find a nap during the day seems to perk me up. Prior to surgery, I was taking 17 different medications (metabolic syndrome) plus a shot twice a month; I am now taking 4 medications, plus the two shots. No high blood pressure, no heart angina, no osteoarthritis. So overall right now, feeling pretty great on top of it. I do have a question; while I am loosing steadily, once in a while I have a day where it goes up just a bit (about half-one pound). Am I doing something, or is this just one of the attempts of my body to find equilibrium with the weight loss? Thanks!
  3. I've had pretty steady loss since my 10/5 sleeve, although getting enough water & protein in a day is still very hard some days. The= I'll have a day where I'm up 1/2 - 1 lbs. Is this the body trying to find its equilibrium from losing steadily? Is there something I should be doing that I'm missing? I could understand "flat", but gaining seems kind of weird. Any great things that have worked for you?
  4. I find I get nausea (not clear to the throwing up) because of the smell of things. It feels like somethings smell like a dirty kitchen sponge, especially whey products. But I can't do soy protein since I've had breast cancer. I'm glad you've seen your doctor, and they are aware of how you're feeling. Maybe meeting the NUT would give you some ideas of what to try.
