I just had my first fill after having a baby 2 months ago. I had to get an unfil during my pregnacy due to dehydration issues. I only got a 0.4 cc fill and I feel weird. I have a slight pain in my back. Has this happened to anyone else?

Nausea...did you un-fill?
sshaw9126 replied to blueonetoo's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I am having the same problem. Although I am thrilled to be pregnant, I am cursed with nausea for at lease the first 12 weeks, if not longer. This is how it was with my 1st as well! Everything I eat comes up. I am wondering if I should get an unfill as well. I am also worried about slippage because I throw up (I know that's gross) multiple times a day. -
Hey everyone. I got a fill yesterday and learned that Ruben was leaving. Any details about that? It is pretty upsetting because he is the best. My fill yesterday didn't go so well. The new girl (I am really bad with names) did it and it hurt and she had a hard time finding my port. Roben just pokes the needle right in.

I got the $9,990 price and used Dr. Kim, but it applied for all of the doctors. I think I got the price because I called them and told them that I was thinking about going to Mexico to have it done. Everything is negotiable especially if you are paying cash. I would just call and talk to them about price.

I had my first fill last week, and I am still eating more than I should be able too. The only change has been that food get stuck a lot easier than it did. I was thinking about going back next week, but I didn't know if I needed to give it a few weeks.

Does that include protein shakes as well?

Finally, I am 2 days away from my first fill. I was just wondering if anyone ate anything before. My appt is at 11 so I didn't know if I should just plan on doing liquids that whole day. Thanks for the advice!

I had surgery in May. It was $9,990. I was honest with them and told them I was planning on going to Mexico if I couldn't get it for under $10,000 here. I don't know if they were running a promotion at that time or just gave me the $9,990 price, but it can be done.

I actually posed about this same thing today. I am thinking mine if from eating too fast or too much. I am only 5 weeks out and it just started happening within the last couple of days. This also happens to me in the middle of the night when I wake up. Last night I had to get a snack to make it stop. Very weird.

The last few days I have been having back pain. It is usually right after I eat. I feel like I am chewing my food well, but maybe this is a side effect of not chewing well or eating too fast. Anyone else have this problem? I also woke up last night in the middle of the night with the same pain. I am not usually a middle of the night eater, but my stomach felt like I was hungry so I went and ate 3 of my daughters animal Cookies. After I ate, the pain went away. Again, does anyone have the problem of back pain when you get hungry?

Help!!!!! I Have Asthma
sshaw9126 replied to NEWME2008's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have asthma and over the years it has been getting worse. I was at the point of taking my rescue inhaler every day, multiple times. In the last 6 weeks, I have lost 29 pounds and have noticed that my asthma has improved drastically. I probably take my inhaler 2 times a week. For me, it seems like the more weight I lose, the better my breating is. It is also easier for me to exercise with my asthma now that I have lost weight. I think of the difference only 29 pounds has made. I can't wait to see what it is like when I get to 100 pounds lost. -
This week will be 4 weeks since I had my surgery. At my 2 week post op visit, the doctor told me to go ahead and make my first fill appointment, which would be at 6 weeks post op. Since the day of my surgery, I have lost 16 pounds. I am also only able to eat 4-5 ounces of food at a time, which my doctor told me was acceptable. So my question, do I really need a fill? I feel like I am in a good place and am thinking a fill would mess that up. One more thing and don't shoot me for asking. I have noticed that I am really thirsty at night. Sometimes I have a hard time waiting my 30 minutes after dinner to drink anything. This doesn't seem to bother me except make me fill fuller. Is this necessarily a bad thing? There have also been times that I have had sips with lunch. Again, this has only made me feel full.

Long Drive After Surgery???
sshaw9126 replied to ThinknHealthy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had about a 45 minute drive after my surgery. You should be fine. I was on so much medication after that I didn't feel a think. It was the day after that I was really sore.
