Hi I felt the same way and I also couldnt stand the smell of whey protein .I went threw 3 different brands and finally found one called Jay Robbs (vitamine shop) it has 30 gm of protein per scoop and it dosent have that smell its realy good I put it in the blender with 1/2 of frozen banana Your not alone I went threw the same thing it gets bett I was banded 3/27 I have lost 17 pound walking 3miles a day and feel great Its a HUGE life change it gets better hang in there

I had lap band 3/27 and I'm starving but I'm sticking to mushies and protein shake wich I couldnt drink in the first week the smell of the shake killed me. Not sure if any one else has had a problem with the tast of the whey Protein I went through 3 different and the best one is Jay Robb's dosent even tast like a protein shake its very good and i ad 1/2 bananna to it .

Hi I had the same problem I finally found a brand called Jay Robb dosent have the smell or after tast it is realy good with a half of a bananna I use 4-6oz of 2% milk 1 scoop of powder 30g and 1/2 bananna 2x a day (this brand is all natural)

I'm in the same boat I had my surgery on 3/27 I saw the Dr. today and they said i'm doing good i've lost 15 pounds but i can't drink the shake for some reason so I've been on farina and cramed soups but I was so hungry last night that I mashed up 3 fish sticks and ate them. My Dr told me its normal to be hungry and just try to get in the protein first (shakes) so i'm going back to the store to try a different brand. I can't wait to get my first fill in 2 weeks. Hang in there!!!!!! :ohmy:

I also gained a pound but i lost 15 in 1 week after surgery but i'm not going to panic so hang in their! (surgery was 3/27)

Hi I had my surgery 3/27 and my husband took that day off. I came home the next day and I had some help I have 9 month old twins but I was good to go after that I hardly had any pain at all and didnt even need the pain meds:thumbup:

Hi my name is Wendy I'm 33 and just had my surgery on 3/27/08 . my weight was 241 on day of surgery and today I weighed 228 so I guess i'm doing good I feel great although tired .Ialso have a set of 9 month old twins that keep me busy but I am starting to feel hungry and i'm taking in 6 oz 3xday of cream of wheat, yougart and strained cream soups .I'm not sure if its normal to already feel hungry did any one else feel this way only 6days postop?:wink_smile:
