  1. This is one of my biggest fears. I check the menu's as much as possible prior to eating out because its crazy how much added sugar exists in recipes.

  4. I stalled for a whole week when I was 2 weeks post op. I think it has to do with how much you loose on the pre op diet. I wouldn’t be concerned. But as you can ingest more, i would limit your drinks with calories.

    I feel the same way! My legs are like little sticks, and it makes it hard to find pants. They say people loose the belly last!

    I'm a perfectionist to say the least, but more so a nurturer. I love hosting because I thrive on making sure everyone is fed, comfortable, and happy. But good advice, I'll try and take it easy

    Running/exercise again?

    Has anyone noticed that their resting heart rate after surgery is a lot less? Also, it takes some serious cardio exercise for my heart rate to increase for optimal impact.

    Feeling Less Sexy

    I just read through some of the threads and I'm so glad you posted this link. I felt like an Alien , but turns out I'm not! Thanks
  16. Honestly, I thought that loosing weight would immediately boost my self confidence and I would feel more sexy and desirable. However, I don't feel this way. In fact, I think it's hurt me a little bit. I'm working out in the gym to tone up my flabbiness but its going to be a work in progress. Can anyone speak to their experiences? Are there highs and lows, or does my mind just need time to catch up to my body?

    I made these tasty jello cups that are supposed to be 12 grams of protein per 2oz. They were great during my liquid week post op.

    Night Snacking

    I also have a problem at night. I get more hungry between 6-8pm. We don't usually eat dinner until 7pmish. So I can control it with dinner. But if we eat an early dinner, I find myself chopping at the bit. I have gained a lot of self control, minus my glass of FairLife Milk and Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup. Every night at 8pm I have exactly a cup. It settles my cravings.

    I had this problem too! Its a side affect of Ketosis. If you read about it, you'll realize it is the process, not you. It goes away after awhile.

    Now that's a good attitude. You will be back to "normal" before you know it. I know I struggled with social interactions involving food but I'm slowly accepting my self and realizing that its about the time with friends.

    3 day stretch! You've got this! Protein shakes never get better, I don't drink them at all right now. It will make you motivated to get all your protein by food instead.
