Freaking Exhausted

Thanks girl! As that would be very happy news, it would also be cause for panic. I have a stipulation on my insurance that I withhold from pregnancy for 12 months, otherwise they could retract payment for my surgery, which they paid 100% of.

    Freaking Exhausted

I just finished a period, so very doubtful. It was a light one, but still very doubtful. I am using the NuvaRing for contraceptive as of right now. I will contact the doctor and check on everything. It's very concerning being this worn out.

    Snacks YES OR NO

I'm confused as to why this matters as a diabetic. I am a diabetic and my NUT and doctor encourages snacks between meals, as long as they are protein focused. I have breakfast around 7am, snack around 10:30, lunch around 1:30, and dinner around 6:30pm. My blood sugar will drop too low in between if I didn't have snacks.
  4. The tuna packets that come in the foil packaging. They don't require fridge rated , and some have 11+grams of protein . Premade protein shakes don't have to be cold. There are some protein "snack" packs that are really good. I usually omit the crackers that come with.

    Not sure it's working

I was hungry after surgery as well, until I went into the purred phase. Then I almost had the opposite reaction. I had some food aversion, that or a severe lack of appetite. Things change so quickly with this surgery. I wouldn't worry that you'll be hungry forever, because eventually you will have semi-solids again and will fill up after a bite or two. Or you will go through something similar to me and WISH you were hungry or that something sounded good. Its almost as bad to force yourself to eat something as to want to eat something you cant have.

GALS who started their journey over 300 lb+
+

I have similar regrets. I should have done this when I reached 250. Even 275. But I’m glad I finally did it. That’s all we can do.

I’m in the same boat! To be at ideal weight I need to loose 200lbs. My first goal is 150lbs though.

GALS who started their journey over 300 lb+
+

I was working out 5 days a week. Cardio for 30 mins and weight lifting for nearly an hour. It’s been a few weeks though because I’ve been swamped since summer commenced. But I’m getting back at it ASAP.

Ladies who are post op or who have lost a lot pre op thus far....HELP! My stomach is holding on to dear life! I'm so frustrated. I'm disappointed. I carry a lot of weight in my stomach, so it's natural that I still am struggling to loose there. But I'm 91lbs down and.... have went from a 24/26 to a 18/20. I have a couple pairs of stretchy work pants that are 16/18's. But I've only virtually went down 2 sizes. What gives people?!?

I think you should be fine! Most people report an increase in sexual pleasure after WLS. Thank you for his service!

    Dry skin and hair

I agree 100% with James! Bio Oil is awesome! I use it every day, twice a day. I used to have very dry skin with scaly patches. Now the oil has done the trick. I also think it helps to prevent the "turkey neck" some people get after loosing so much.

    Weight gain over night

I always "gain" a few pounds during that time of the month. So I know its possible for hormones to affect it.

    Randomly being faint/dizziness

I did the exact same thing. 2 weeks post op I went to the grocery store and had to stop in the middle of shopping and leave my cart. I just couldn't do it anymore. I hit a big brick wall. It does get easier. Your energy levels will return. Mine did around 6 weeks.

    Calorie intake

Pain in the shoulder can be an indication of a leak. I would contact your surgeon ASAP.

I bet if you did a "mock" pre op diet that 6lbs would melt off. I lost around 25lbs doing the pre op diet.
  18. I love both places. I’ve bought a lot from there since I’ve been loosing. I talked to a lady the other day who didn’t even know they carried plus sizes. But clothes can be so expensive, I still shop at Walmart and target just to get me by. No need to spend $40+ on a top that I will be too small for in a couple months.

    Dining out post op

Some of my favorites include: Olive Garden- Zuppa Tuscana soup. 220 cal, 15 carbs, 7 protein. Herb-Grilled Samon. 460 cal, 8 carbs, 43 protein. Chilis- Chicken or Steak Fajitas w/o the shells. I will also substitute the rice for steamed broccoli. 6oz classic sirloin with grilled Avocado. I get it without the Citrus Chile sauce, because I don't do spicy since surgery. It comes with a fresco salad & roasted tomatoes, but you could substitute for a veggie. Five Guys- I get a burger lettuce wrap. Sometimes I add cheese. Chic'fil'A- Naked chicken nuggets. Taco Bell/Chipotle/Qudoba- At taco bell, I get the power bowl and get it without rice. It makes at least 2 meals. The same thing at Chipotle and Qudoba, I get a bowl without rice. Occasionally, with brown rice. Wendy's- Chili or a grilled chicken sandwich without a bun. Sometimes a salad, if I'm going home and can use my own dressing. Pretty much all restaurants have some sort of grilled protein. Don't be afraid to substitute fries for veggies or cottage cheese. Especially if they serve breakfast food. I'll get an omelet or a skillet without potatoes.

    Dining out post op

I have to disagree with you. There are a lot of good options if you look hard enough. This surgery is about making *good* choices. You can't avoid going to restaurants and eventually you will be in a situation to need to stop at a gas station or fast food. Its important you know what to choose. We eat out at least 2-3x per month. I'm more limited on where I go, but I don't avoid eating out.

    Bra Line Lift (Back Lift)

My mom had a breast reduction a few years ago. She wasn't overweight, but had very large breasts. As a result, she also had "side boob" which was removed by her plastic surgeon along with the breast reduction. What she thought was "back fat" was actually breast. She looks a lot smaller around than she used to. I imagine they used liposuction to get that side area. Hope that helps.
